Industry Presentations of LOVE QUIRKS Kick Off June 27
By: Gabrielle Sierra
On Monday, June 27th the new musical LOVE QUIRKS by Seth Bisen-Hersh (music & lyrics) and Mark Childers (book) will get two private industry presentations at 4pm and 7pm at Shetler Studios' Bridge Theatre. LOVE QUIRKS is a musical journey exploring the trials and tribulations of love and in it, four characters, male and female, straight and gay, experience the frustrations and perils of dating and relationships. Brian Childers (who currently stars in the hit Off-Broadway production of Danny & Sylvia as Danny Kaye) will serve as director.
LOVE QUIRKS started as a song cycle featuring Seth Bisen-Hersh's quirky, neurotic and poignant love songs. Combined with Brian Childers' vision and Mark Childers' astute observations about single life, it has developed into a full-fledged production aiming for an Off-Broadway run this fall. Songs in LOVE QUIRKS include "Sleeping Around to Find My Prince," "It's Not You, It's Me," "Why Do I Always Fall for Straight Boys?" and "I'd Rather Take a Nap." The cast of the presentation will feature Crystal Davidson, Nathan Freeman, Rori Nogee, and Brian Shaw. The two industry presentations of LOVE QUIRKS will take place on Monday, June 27th at 4pm and 7pm at Shetler Studios' Bridge Theatre (244 West 54th Street, 12th Floor).
