As BroadwayWorld reported last week, Chasing Rainbows: The Road to Oz, a new Broadway-bound musical about the early life of Judy Garland, from her vaudeville sister act through her rise at MGM to win the role of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, just had an industry presentation in New York City. The musical has reportedly earned the approval of one very important guest, Liza Minnelli. She told Deadline:

Now on their 9th national tour, THE MIDTOWN MEN are bringing their magic to the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on Friday, January 25 at 8 p.m. singing their favorite 'Sixties Hits' from The Beatles, The Rascals, The Turtles, Motown, The Four Seasons and more. This sensational production reunites stars from the Original Broadway Cast of Jersey Boys. Tony Award winner Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard and Tony Award nominee J. Alberta Bair Theater's First Interstate Bank Fox Series features The Midtown Men, four stars from the original cast of Broadway's Jersey Boys, ringing in the Christmas season with their Holiday Hits show on Saturday, December 8 at 7:30 p.m. 

For The Record returns to The Wallis with their holiday show LOVE ACTUALLY LIVE December 4th through 31st. Headliners for this multi-media concert (backed by a 15-piece orchestra) include Rumer Willis, Steve Kazee, Kelley Jakle, Rex Smith and B. Slade. LOVE ACTUALLY LIVE's music supervisor and arranger Jesse Vargas offered up some of his infrequent down time to most graciously share his history with FTR, as well as, his encompassing musical expertise with me.

Birdland Theater is proud to announce that Broadway/Concert star Daniel Reichard will bring "Summer Playlist" to the new stage on August 23, 24 and 25, with shows at 7pm.

Marvelous Marilyn Maye has moved into the brand-new Birdland Theater for two weeks, much to the delight of the club's staff, as well as Marilyn's legion of fans. The "Queen of Cabaret" will be in residence for two weeks, running Tuesday to Saturday through August 4, with shows at 7pm each night.

Birdland will kick-off their exciting month of programming with the following acts:

Award-winning Broadway performers Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley will head to NYC venue Le Poisson Rouge on July 22nd at 8 PM with the most outrageous, feel good 'undie-rock' concert of the season, joined by some very special guests! 

Alberta Bair Theater has added four additional shows since the season preview for its stakeholders on May 24:  for fans of 60's rock: Felix Cavaliere & Gene Cornish's RASCALS with special guest Carmine Appice on drums on Friday, September 7 at 7:30; for fans of 80's rock and Broadway musicals: ROCK OF AGES on Monday, November 19 at 7:30;  for a fun ladies night out during the holidays: 'Twas a Girls Night Before Christmas on Friday, December 14 at 7:30;  and for family entertainment at its best the multi Tony awarded THE SOUND OF MUSIC on Monday, April 8 and Tuesday, April 9, both at 7:30.

A star-studded lineup of Broadway's best will join in a flirty evening of fun, games and unparalleled striptease at Broadway Bares: Game Night at 9:30 pm and midnight this Sunday, June 17, 2018.

On Sunday June 10th the Tony Night at the Palm Viewing Party was hosted by Christian Hoff, 2006 Tony Winner, Best Featured Actor in a Musical for Jersey Boys. The event benefitted The V Foundation for Cancer Research, founded by Jim Valvano in 1993.
