Chasing his Heart with its suitcase full of memories, Scott Wings embarks on a playful odyssey through the body for Melbourne Fringe 2018.

Fall activities for the Centennial, which begins this month and extends through all of 2019, include a wide range of performances, film screenings, discussions, education initiatives, and new works by other artists in conversation with Cunningham's work.

Two of the country's leading contemporary dance venues are teaming up to commission brand new family friendly shows to be presented during the Christmas period of 2018 and 2019. The Place and DanceEast have commissioned Luca Silvestrini's Protein and Vicki Igbokwe's Uchenna Dance's to create the shows. It will be the first time Vicki Igbokwe has created a work for families, and the first time Luca Silvestrini has used an existing story as his starting point. The project also marks the first time The Place has commissioned a show for the festive season.

The Keir Choreographic Award is Australia's first major choreographic award presented by the Keir Foundation, Carriageworks and Dancehouse with the Australia Council. The Keir Choreographic Award is a national biennial award dedicated to commissioning short works and promoting innovative, experimental and cross-artform practices in contemporary dance. The award invites Australian professional artists with an established practice to propose a choreographic idea for an original live performance of no more than 20 minutes.

Carriageworks presents the Australian premiere of 'An evening of solo works' from internationally renowned American choreographer Meg Stuart. Headlining the public program for the 2018 Keir Choreographic Award, 'An evening of solo works' will be presented at Carriageworks, 19-20 March. Dancehouse will present a following season in Melbourne on the 23 - 24 March 2018.

Carriageworks today announced the public program for the 2018 Keir Choreographic Award (KCA), Australia's first major choreographic award, in partnership with The Keir Foundation, Dancehouse and Australia Council for the Arts. From 27 February - 20 March 2018, the diverse public program expands on the Keir Choreographic Awards Sydney season and includes performances, workshops and discussions engaging the 2018 KCA jurors.

Toronto Dance Theatre (TDT) announces the details of its 2017-2018 season, celebrating 50 years of performance that have fundamentally changed the face of Canadian dance. Under the visionary direction of Christopher House, recently named to the Order of Canada, the season kicks off on September 21 with a program of works by TDT founders Patricia Beatty, David Earle and Peter Randazzo presented in partnership with Toronto Heritage Dance. The company then launches into international and national tours, including its first-ever visit to Colombia and a coast-to-coast tour of Western, Eastern and Northern Canada. In the early spring, TDT returns to the Fleck Dance Theatre with an exhilarating program of premieres created in response to Christopher House's masterwork Glass Houses (1983).

Fierce Mercy is an epic, cinematic step forward from singer-songwriter Colin Hay, most beloved for his intimate, confessional live shows but most widely known for being an influential and celebrated frontman. The range of artists who have chosen to cite him as a muse or who have found themselves on stage with him in the past year spans the genre landscape from heavy metal, to Americana, to Cuban rhythms and beyond. His inclusion as a playlist favorite from the likes of Metallica to The Lumineers reflects his continuing relevance and broad appeal.

Dancehouse is delighted to present seven remarkable and uncompromising works as part of Dance Massive 2017, Australia's only contemporary dance festival, a prominent example of the quality of and appetite for Australian contemporary dance. Since 2009, Dance Massive has welcomed over 41,000 visitors to over 400 performances. The quality and scale of Dance Massive programming, combining the artistic vision of three artistic directors (Dancehouse, Arts House and Malthouse), has drawn artists and audiences globally and made Melbourne a focal point for Australia's dance arts.
