Mazz Murray, Kirsty Hoiles, and More Join the Cast of MAMMA MIA! in London

The global smash hit musical MAMMA MIA! celebrated its 20th anniversary in London's West End at the Novello Theatre on Saturday 6 April. Now, in the musical's 21st year, the producers are delighted to announce some major cast changes in the London production from Monday 10 June 2019. Mazz Murray, who has previously played Tanya in the London production, will be returning to the musical, but this time as Donna, and Kirsty Hoiles will join her as Tanya. Also new to the musical will be Cameron Burt as Sky, Melissa Nettleford as Ali, Sophie Matthew as Lisa, Taylor Bradshaw as Eddie and Danny Nattrass as Pepper. They will be joining Ricky Butt as Rosie, Richard Trinder as Sam, Neil Moors as Harry, Stephen Beckett as Bill and Lucy May Barker as Sophie. Caroline Deverill continues to play the role of Donna at certain performances.

The New Harmony Project is Now Accepting Applications For 2019 Conference & Newly Established Parent Residencies

The New Harmony Project announced today that it is now accepting applications for the 33rd annual conference to be held May 20 - June 1, 2019. Since 1986, the secluded town of New Harmony, Indiana has hosted artists from around the world for two-weeks of dedicated script development. Over the course of the conference, The New Harmony Project offers a retreat from the outside world and space for writers to fully immerse themselves in their work. The peaceful serenity of New Harmony, the site of two former utopian societies, is a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Center Theatre Group Launches L.A. Writers' Workshop Festival, Today

Center Theatre Group has announced the launch of the inaugural L.A. Writers' Workshop Festival: New Plays Forged In L.A., to celebrate some of the freshest and most exciting voices in modern American theatre coming out of Los Angeles and Center Theatre Group's long-standing L.A. Writers' Workshop. To be held annually at the Kirk Douglas Theatre, the festival will feature readings of three new plays by three L.A. Writers' Workshop participants from throughout the program's thirteen year history. The inaugural festival will be on June 23 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. with readings of "A Kind of Weather" by Sylvan Oswald, "New Life" by Dan O'Brien and "How To Raise A Freeman" by Zakiyyah Alexander.

Center Theatre Group has announced casting for the inaugural L.A. Writers' Workshop Festival: New Plays Forged In L.A., a one day event at the Kirk Douglas Theatre celebrating some of the freshest and most exciting voices in modern American theatre. The festival will take place on June 23 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. with readings of three new plays by three L.A. Writers' Workshop participants from throughout the program's 13-year history. The readings include "A Kind of Weather" by Sylvan Oswald, "New Life" by Dan O'Brien and "How To Raise A Freeman" by Zakiyyah Alexander.

The New Harmony Project's 32nd Annual Spring Conference Kicks Off May 21

The New Harmony Project (Lori Wolter Hudson, Artistic Director; David Hudson, Executive Director), an organization dedicated to supporting writers whose work emanates hope, will kick off its 32nd annual spring conference on Monday, May 21 with ten writers in residence in the idyllic town of New Harmony, Indiana. 

Primary Stages' 2018 Spring Fling Honors Kimberly Senior Tonight

Primary Stages' (Casey Childs, Founder & Executive Producer; Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director; Shane D. Hudson, Executive Director) 2018 Spring Fling benefitting their Free Student Matinee Program will take place tonight, Thursday, May 10, 2018, at 6:00 pm. The event will be held at Ramscale Studio (463 West Street) and will honor Kimberly Senior (Disgraced, Discord) with the Einhorn Mentorship Award.

Michael John Garcés Headlines The 12th Annual Philadelphia Theatre Research Symposium

Villanova Theatre is thrilled to announce the 12th Annual Philadelphia Theatre Research Symposium (PTRS), featuring a keynote address and workshop by renowned director, playwright and community artist Michael John Garces. This year's conference will kick off on Thursday, May 3 with the Emerging Scholars Panel followed by a workshop, panels and the keynote address on Friday, May 4, 2017. The theme of this year's conference is 'Community Outreach in the Arts.'  

Colorado New Play Festival Announces Participating Theaters For 2018

The Colorado New Play Festival (CNPF) (formerly the Perry-Mansfield New Works Festival) is proud to announce the participating theaters for the 2018 season. The 21st Annual Festival, to be held on June 10-16, 2018 in Steamboat Springs, CO, will develop five new works in partnership with the Actors Theatre of Louisville, Alley Theatre, Curious Theatre Company, Primary Stages, and Victory Gardens Theater.

Ashley Tisdale Joins New CBS Comedy PANDAS IN NEW YORK

According to Deadline, actress Ashley Tisdale has been cast in the new CBS comedy pilot from Ajay Sahgal. The show is titled PANDAS IN NEW YORK. She joins the previously announced cast of Hina Abdullah, Dan O'Brien, Nisha Munshi, Bernard White and Gita Reddy. The pilot will be directed by Mark Cendrowski. LA/NY Actor and Author Tim Cummings Honored with 3rd L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award

LA & NY-based actor and author Tim Cummings was honored with his third Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle (LADCC) Award on Monday, March 19th 2018 for his leading performance in The House in Scarsdale: A Memoir for the Stage, written by award-winning playwright, poet, and former Guggenheim fellow, Dan O'Brien.

PRIMARY STAGES (Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director; Shane D. Hudson, Executive Director; Casey Childs, Founder) is proud to announce its complete 2018/19 Season, which will kick off in Fall 2018 with FINAL FOLLIES, by A.R. Gurney (Love Letters, Sylvia, Black Tie at Primary Stages) and directed by David Saint (Clever Little Lies). DOWNSTAIRS by Theresa Rebeck ("Smash," Dead Accounts, Poor Behavior at Primary Stages), directed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt (What We're Up Against) in November 2018 will star Tyne Daly (Mother & Sons, Master Class) and Tim Daly ("Wings," "Madam Secretary") sharing the New York stage for the first time. Early 2019 will bring GOD SAID THIS by Leah Nanako Winkler (Two Mile Hollow), directed by Morgan Gould (Kentucky); and the season will conclude in Spring 2019 with LITTLE WOMEN, written by Kate Hamill (Pride and Prejudice), based on the novel by Louisa May Alcott, and directed by Sarna Lapine (Sunday in the Park with George). Performance schedules, additional casting, and full creative teams will be announced at a later date.
