?At the 20th annual Pell Awards, Trinity Repertory Company will honor local artists Len Cabral and Charlene Carpenzano with Rhode Island Pell Awards for Excellence in the Arts alongside previously announced honorees The Public Theater artistic director Oskar Eustis, Laurie Eustis and Elizabeth Chace. The awards ceremony and celebration will be held at Ochre Court on the Salve Regina University Campus in Newport, RI on May 23, 2016. Tickets and sponsorships are now available at www.trinityrep.com.

At the 20th annual Pell Awards, Trinity Repertory Company will award Oskar Eustis and Laurie Eustis with the Pell Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts. Oskar currently serves as the artistic director of The Public Theater. Elizabeth Z. Chace, local businesswoman and philanthropist will be honored with the Charles Sullivan Award for Distinguished Service in the Arts. Nominations are now being accepted for additional local honorees. Seacoast Rep & Cuzin Richard Entertainment Form New Partnership

Starting September 2nd, The Seacoast Repertory Theatre will be beginning a new collaboration with Cuzin Richard Entertainment. The Rep will be putting on four new events throughout the month of September including: The Boston Comedy Festival, mind reader and sword swallower Roderick Russell, Spanish guitarist Jose Lezcano, and Dan Butterworth and his Marionettes.

Festivities are at the Marcus Center's Peck Pavilion from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The theme is Honoring the Dead by Serving the Living and this event is free and open to the public.

Trinity Rep announced today that former artistic director and Academy-award nominated film, stage and TV actor Richard Jenkins and his wife Director/Choreographer Sharon Jenkins will be honored with the 2014 Pell Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts. The theater also announced that nationally known dance educator and choreographer Mary Paula Hunter will receive the 2014 Charles Sullivan Award for Distinguished Service in the Arts. The 18th annual Pell Awards will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Trinity Rep with a reception to follow next door at the Providence Public Library.

Enrollment Now Open for Trinity Rep's 2014 Young Actors Summer Institute

Trinity Rep is now accepting registration for the Young Actors Summer Institute (YASI), one of the most comprehensive summer arts enrichment programs of its kind in New England. The four-week Young Actors Summer Institute (YASI) has been specifically designed for grades 5-12 and YASI Jr., a weeklong mini-program for elementary school students entering grades 1-4. YASI runs July 1 through August 2, 2014 and YASI Jr. runs August 11 through August 15, 2014. To register for any of the programs, visit www.trinityrep.com. Registrations received by January 17 are eligible for an early bird discount of $100 off regular class tuition. These programs will fill up quickly, and interested students are encouraged to apply today.
Trinity Rep & Providence Public Library Partner for TRPPL PLAY!, 2/3-6/9

Trinity Repertory Company and the Providence Public Library announce a new creative collaboration for high students called TRRPL PLAY! The program was developed for high school students looking for theater performance opportunities as well as exploring literature and playwriting. Working alongside Trinity Rep's professional theater instructors, students will adapt a young adult novel into a fully-staged traveling performance that will then tour local libraries. TRPPL PLAY! Runs February 3- June 9, 2014 on Monday evenings from 6-7:30pm at the Providence Public Library, 150 Empire Street in downtown Providence. Tuition is $250 and registration is currently open. Trinity Rep proudly announces the addition of sign language interpretation to their upcoming sensory-friendly performance of Charles Dickens with their annual presentation of his classic tale A Christmas Carol, as adapted by Adrian Hall and Richard Cumming, presented by Cardi's Furniture with supporting sponsor Amica Insurance. The sensory-friendly presentation with of the show with ASL interpretation will be held on Saturday, November 9 at 2:00PM and is sponsored by The Hearst Foundations. The ASL interpretation is made possible by a donation from Perspectives Corporation. Catering to both adults and children with sensitivities, this modified performance fits the needs of individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other cognitive and physical disabilities, as well as those seeking sign language interpretation. Trinity Rep's A Christmas Carol is a timeless tale of forgiveness and hope that earns rave reviews from audiences and critics year after year.
