Pan Asian Repertory Theatre, now in its 38th Season, has announced the cast for the East Coast premiere of FILM CHINOIS, an atmospheric noir mystery set in 1940s China written by Singaporean playwright Damon Chua and directed by Kaipo Schwab. As part of its 2014 Blueprint Series play development program, Brimmer Street Theatre Company has announced public readings of three new plays. Judy Presley on a Binge by Chelsea Sutton will be presented on Tuesday, October 7 at 8pm; Madame by Michelle Meyers will be presented on Sunday, November 9 at 7:30pm; and Gentlemen by David Jette will be presented on Sunday, November 16 at 7:30pm. Judy Presley on a Binge will be at the 2nd Stage Theatre in Hollywood; Madame and Gentlemen will be at Studio A Dance in Silver Lake. Following each presentation, audiences will be invited to engage in brief discussions with the playwrights and participating artists. Admission is free and no reservations are required.
