Tribeca Film Festival Shares 2018 Feature Film Program

The 17th annual Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, revealed its feature film lineup championing the discovery of emerging voices and celebrating new work from established filmmaking talent. To close the Festival, Tribeca will World Premiere The Fourth Estate, from Oscar®-nominated director Liz Garbus, which follows The New York Times' coverage of the Trump administration's first year. The Centerpiece Gala will be the World Premiere of Drake Doremus' sci-fi romance Zoe starring Ewan McGregor, Lea Seydoux, Rashida Jones, and Theo James. The 2018 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 18-29.

Finn Wittrock Set to Join Renee Zellwegger In Upcoming Judy Garland Biopic

According to Deadline, Finn Wittrock of American Horror Story Fame has been cast in the upcoming film JUDY, joining previously cast Renee Zellweger in the role of Judy Garland. The film is centered around the final London concerts of the great Judy Garland. Wittrock is set to play Mickey Deans, the fifth and final husband of the legend.

The Santa Barbara International Film Festival announced today that Christopher Nolan, Greta Gerwig, Guillermo del Toro, Jordan Peele, and Paul Thomas Anderson will receive the 2018 Outstanding Directors of the Year Award. The Oscar® nominated directors will be celebrated individually for their filmsDunkirk, Lady Bird, The Shape of Water, Get Out, and Phantom Thread respectively.
Apple to Pick Up New Damien Chazelle Drama Series

According to Deadline, Apple has ordered a new drama series from Academy Award winning director Damien Chazelle (La La Land). Chazelle is scheduled to write and direct the series. Justin Horowitz (La La Land) will serve as Executive Producer along with Fred Berger under his Automatik banner. The series will be produced by MRC (House of Cards, Counterpart) and will be the Chazelle's second venture into television.
