Theater for the New City, Crystal Field, Executive Artistic Director, proudly announces the world premiere production of Unreachable Eden, a historical drama written and directed by Barbara Kahn, co-directed by Robert Gonzales, Jr., with music by Arthur Abrams. Featuring Zina Anaplioti, Christopher Comeaux, Ben Davis, Claire Epstein, Robert Gonzales, Jr., Gusta Johnson, Franco Pedicini and Steph Van Vlack. Set design by Mark Marcante. Costume design by Carla Gant.

Thunderbird American Indian Dancers will hold their 37th annual Dance Concert and Pow Wow at Theater for the New City, 155 First Avenue, from January 27 to February 5, 2012.

'Open Rehearsal' by Lazarre Seymour Simckes, author of 'Seven Days of Mourning,' 'Ten Best Martyrs of the Year,' and 'Nossig's Antics,' is a Pirandellian farce in which a play about a chaotic family pretends to be just a chaotic rehearsal. The playwright is an award-winning author whose plays usually confront difficult questions of Jewish history with absurdist logic. This is his fourth production at Theater for the New City and his first time directing his own work.

For the 40th year, Peter Schumann's Bread and Puppet Theater (www.breadandpuppet.org) will return to Theater for the New City with two new works, one for adults and one for family audiences.

Underground stars perform each year in TNC's Halloween Cabarets. Guests will see, be seen and vie for costume prizes. Celebrants will sink fangs into Halloween delicacies in The Witches' Cauldron.

'Ghost in the Machine' is the first play by Mike Leon. Originally produced at Williams College in October, 2010, the play will close on October 23, presented by Theater for the New City in association with The Dead Copycats. Director is Nathaniel Basch-Gould.

'The Capitalist Ventriloquist' is a new musical comedy about dynastic hedge funds, the demands of billionaire investors, misguided parental expectations, and the struggle of the son of an imperious hedge fund owner for self-determination.
