A one-week extension has been added for 'Skybox,' a new comedy by Walt Stepp and directed by Lissa Moira. The play's premiere run was originally scheduled for November 8 to December 2, 2012. After Hurricane Sandy struck, the opening was postponed to November 15 to accommodate production delays. Now the closing has been extended through December 9 to make up for lost performances. So the new production dates are November 15 to December 9 and critics are invited to all performances.

Theater for the New City, Crystal Field, Executive Director, presents OPEN UP as part of the Dream Up Festival, tonight, August 28 through September 2, 2012. Written by Kimberly Pau and directed by Eric Mercado, the production features designs by Rachel R. Blackwell and production stage management and additional designs by Jeromy Hunt. Theater for the New City & Crystal Field (Artistic Director) have announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of THE EDEN PROJECT, a new play devised by Stable Cable Lab Co., directed by Seth Hamlin, and choreographed by KC Luce as part of the 3rd annual Dream Up Festival. THE EDEN PROJECT will begin performances tonight, August 24, 2012 at Theater for the New City (155 First Ave. - between 10th & 11th Streets). The production is scheduled to run through September 1st.

Pipeline Theatre Company in association with Theater for the New City and Crystal Field (Artistic Director) are set to present GIANT KILLER SLUGS from tonight, August 22 through September 2 at Theater for the New City's Johnson Theater (155 First Ave) as part of the Dream Up Festival. It is written by Colby Day and will be directed by Daniel Johnsen.

Theater for the New City 's 2012 Street Theater tour, '99% 'Reduced Fat, or, You Can Bank On Us,' an operetta for the Street with book, lyrics and direction by Crystal Field and score by Joseph Vernon Banks, will now appear at 6:30 PM (instead of 8:00 PM) tonight, August 17 at Coney Island Boardwalk (at West 10th Street), Brooklyn. The alteration was made in response to revised sound permit regulations.
