Rattlestick Announces Casting for F*ck!ng Good Plays Festival

RATTLESTICK PLAYWRIGHTS THEATER (Daniella Topol, Artistic Director; Annie Middleton, Managing Director) and ROSALIND PRODUCTIONS INC. (Abigail Rose Solomon, Executive Producer) are proud to announce casting for their annual F*CK!NG GOOD PLAYS FESTIVAL, which begins tonight, May 7, 2018 and will run through May 12 at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater.

The Public Announces Full Cast of THE LOW ROAD

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced complete casting today for the New York premiere of THE LOW ROAD, written by Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner Bruce Norris. Directed by Tony Award nominee Michael Greif, THE LOW ROAD is part of The Public's Astor Anniversary Season at their landmark downtown home on Lafayette Street, celebrating 50 years of new work and the 50th Anniversary of HAIR.

A RAISIN IN THE SUN Tickets At Two River Theater Now On Sale

Tickets officially went on sale yesterday for Two River Theater's production of Lorraine Hansberry's classic American Drama, A Raisin In The Sun, playing the venue's Joan and Robert Rechnitz Theater from Saturday, Sept. 9th, 2017 to Sunday, October 8th at the Joan and Robert Rechnitz Theater.

The 52nd Street Project makes a difference in the lives of countless Hell's Kitchen (Clinton) kids by pairing them with theater professionals who mentor them through the creation of original theater. Perhaps the most poignant presentations made by the Project are those in its semi-annual Playmaking series, which features the Project's youngest Hell's Kitchen menses - 9- and 10-year-olds who have just begun their theatrical education - writing for accomplished professional actors and revealing their work to a public audience for the first time. 

Houston Shakespeare Festival 2016 Plays

For more than 40 years, the school has delivered the Houston Shakespeare Festival (HSF) to eager audiences. This year's event will continue this tradition with free performances of 'Much Ado About Nothing' directed by Jack Young and 'Henry V' directed by Lenny Banovez. Performances run July 29 through Aug. 7 at Hermann Park's Miller Outdoor Theatre (6000 Hermann Park Dr.). All performances begin at 8:15 p.m.

SIGNATURE PLAYS Gets One-Week Extension at Signature Theatre

Signature Theatre has announced a one week extension for Signature Plays, which revisits the work of three Legacy playwrights with Edward Albee's The Sandbox, Maria Irene Fornes' Drowning, and Adrienne Kennedy's Funnyhouse of a Negro. Directed by Lila Neugebauer (A.R. Gurney's The Wayside Motor Inn), this trio of plays, all produced during their author's original Playwright-in-Residence season and presented together for the first time, celebrates Signature's rich and diverse history over the past quarter century.
