MEN ON BOATS, the critically-acclaimed comedy which premiered at Clubbed Thumb's 2015 Summerworks Festival, announced today casting for its return this summer in a co-production by Clubbed Thumb and Playwrights Horizons.

The Huntington Theatre Company will open its 2016-2017 season with the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Sunday in the Park with George, Stephen Sondheim's stunning masterpiece about love, inspiration, and "the art of making art." Huntington Artistic Director Peter DuBois (A Little Night Music) will direct. Performances will run September 9 - October 16, 2016 at the Avenue of the Arts / BU Theatre. Tickets are now on sale to the general public.

freeFall's production of THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA is currently open and has been extended through July 17. This lush, deeply romantic musical follows Margaret and her daughter Clara on their visit to Florence in the summer of 1953. When Clara falls in love with a young Italian man, Margaret is forced to not only consider Clara's future, but her own deep-seated hopes and regrets as well. As Margaret attempts to shield her daughter from the outside world we become aware that all is not as it seems, and we are left to ponder the nature of love, desire, regret, and ultimately the beauty of life.

Producer Aaron Harnick just announced that Tony Award nominee Phillipa Soo (Hamilton) will play the title role in the 2017 Broadway premiere of AMELIE, A NEW MUSICAL at a confirmed Broadway theater to be announced, following a limited engagement at CTG's Ahmanson Theatre from December 4, 2016, through January 15, 2017. Full casting, Broadway theater and dates to be announced soon.

The One-Minute Play Festival (1MPF) (Dominic D'Andrea, Producing Artistic Director & Caitlin Wees, Associate Producer) and Know Theatre (Andrew Hungerford, Producing Artistic Direct & Tamara Winters, Associate Artistic Director) continue their dynamic partnership for The 2nd Annual Cincinnati One-minute Play Festival with part of the proceeds to benefit artist residency and educational programming at Know Theatre!

STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, took place on Friday June 3rd in Shubert Alley. Hosted by Tony nominee Sean Hayes and Mo Rocca, Broadway's best once again turned out for the annual performance - including AN AMERICAN IN PARIS' Garen Schribner, Brandon Uranowitz and Max von Essen, who performed 'S'Wonderful.'

Hotel Nikko San Francisco and Michael Feinstein welcomes the four-time Tony Award nominee, Judy Kuhn, to Feinstein's at the Nikko for two performances of her acclaimed show, Rodgers, Rodgers & Guettel, today, Friday, June 3 at 8 p.m. and tomorrow, Saturday, June 4 at 7 p.m.

The Huntington Theatre Company presents the world premiere of I Was Most Alive with You written and directed by Craig Lucas (Prelude to a Kiss at the Huntington and An American in Paris on Broadway) and performed both in English and American Sign Language. Bay Street Theater has announced the full cast and creative team for THE LAST NIGHT OF BALLYHOO, the Tony Award-winning play by Alfred Uhry, directed by Will Pomerantz. The production will run June 28 - July 24.

Founded in 1986 by TBG co-Artistic Directors Seth Barrish and Lee Brock, The Barrow Group has become one of the preeminent performing arts training centers and theatre companies in New York City and the world. Next week will mark the 30th anniversary of the theatre company and acting school, which has produced talents such as Anne Hathaway, Vera Farmiga, Denis O'Hare, Tony Hale, among others!
