BroadwayWorld is pleased to announce the engagement of its Multimedia Director, Craig Brockman, to Heather Harris which took place on December 21st, 2008. The happy couple initially met 5 years ago when Craig moved back to New York City. In true 'Only in New York' fashion, the happy couple reunited in what is clearly a 'Broadway flavored romance!'

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director), in association with Marc Platt, presents Stockard Channing (Vera Simpson), Matthew Risch (Joey Evans) and Martha Plimpton (Gladys Bumps) in a new Broadway production of Pal Joey which opened at The Roundabo Theatre on December 18th. BroadwayWorld and Broadway Beat were at Opening Night to capture all the excitement!

One of the most eagerly awaited musicals of the season - Shrek The Musical - opened up on Sunday, December 14th and BroadwayWorld and Broadway Beat were at Opening Night to capture all the excitement!

A bright ray of light burst on the Great White Way this past week and gave us a wee bit of hope in this bleakest of seasons, no it wasn't a brand new Broadway bound hit, well not in the strictest sense, it was a young boy from New Orleans who dared to make his musical theatre dreams come true.

It's time to meet 'the boys' (and see sneak peeks) who have just finished touring with Liza and are ready to hit the Great White Way!

The timeless classic motion picture turned Broadway musical, White Christmas opened on November 23rd and runs through January 4th. BroadwayWorld and Broadway Beat were at Opening Night to capture all the excitement!

BroadwayWorld reached out to Liza and her 'boys' Cortes Alexander, Jim Caruso, Tiger Martina and Johnny Rodgers and gave them a Flip video camera to record all the fun as they wowed the crowds in Italy.

Broadway's Imperial Theatre welcomed the smash hit Billy Elliot on November 13th with music by Elton John, book and lyrics by Lee Hall and directed by Stephen Daldry. BroadwayWorld and Broadway Beat were there to capture all the excitement!

The Walnut Street Theatre continues its landmark 200th anniversary season with HAIRSPRAY. This all-new production of the Tony Award-winning Broadway show explodes onto the Walnut stage with toe-tappin' hits including 'You Can't Stop the Beat' and 'Welcome to the 60s.' HAIRSPRAY brings big songs, big hair and even bigger dreams to life this holiday season.

Joe's Pub has announced new additions to their upcoming lineup.

Constantine Rousouli is the dreamy new Link Larkin in Hairspray. BroadwayWorld gave Constantine a FLIP video camera and set those swinging hands and hips loose backstage before, during and after performances to show you how those 'Nicest Kids in Town' REALLY behave! You saw Part I, and now there is SOOOOO much more Hairspray FLIP fun in Part II!

Arthur Miller's ALL MY SONS starring John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest, Patrick Wilson, and Katie Holmes officially opened on Broadway on October 16th at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. BroadwayWorld and Broadway Beat were there to capture all the excitement!
