BWW's Brockman Announces Engagement

BroadwayWorld is pleased to announce the engagement of its Multimedia Director, Craig Brockman, to Heather Harris which took place on December 21st, 2008. The happy couple initially met 5 years ago when Craig moved back to New York City. In true "Only in New York" fashion, the happy couple reunited in what is clearly a "Broadway flavored romance!"

The proposal took place at Max Brenner's - the location of their first date when the re-connected in early 2008. After dinner at Blue Water Grill, the couple headed to Max Brenner's in Union Square. With the assistance (and pre-arrangements by Craig himself) of managers Mark and Cathy, the couple was seated without a wait in a corner table.

Unknown to Heather, Craig had arranged for a friend of his to be at the next table armed with a camera - and for the server to come out with the dessert with a candy Ring Pop on the plate (an inside joke for the couple from their first trip together in Martha's Vineyard). When the dessert was delivered, Craig got down on one knee and proposed to a totally shocked and happily surprisEd Heather. His request was met with thunderous applause from the restaurant guests and staff upon hearing her answer - YES! 

Placing the ring from Greenwich Jewelers (a referral which came from Broadway performer and recently engaged, Curtis Holbrook, we told you it was Broadway flavored) on Heather's finger, the couple was treated to two glasses of champagne and several more photos were taken.

After leaving Max Brenner, the newly engaged couple enjoyed a night in the Spa Suite of The Muse Hotel on 46th between 6th and 7th.
