Maryland Ensemble Theatre's (MET) improv and sketch comedy troupe, The Comedy Pigs, debuted in early 1993. This coming 2012-2013 season they will celebrate twenty years of laughter with eight prime-time shows, eight late night shows and a two week run of a brand new sketch show for a total of twenty-two hilarious nights of comedy. The Pigs are also adding four new members to the pen for this landmark upcoming season.

The world premiere production of Robin Hood: Occupy Sherwood - the tale of the original caped crusader and his band of 'merry men' sticking it to the one-percenters is coming to the JBK Theatre at Frederick Community College (7932 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick) from August 10th through the 18th.

The world premiere production of Robin Hood: Occupy Sherwood - the tale of the original caped crusader and his band of 'merry men' sticking it to the one-percenters is coming to the JBK Theatre at Frederick Community College (7932 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick) from August 10th through the 18th. The show is produced as part of Maryland Ensemble Theatre's (MET) annual summer outreach program in partnership with The Ensemble School, Frederick Community College and Hood College. Written by local talent Sarah Shulman and directed by Julie Herber, Robin Hood: Occupy Sherwood presents a new take on the classic legend that will entertain the whole family.

The Laugh Station series debut in January of this year and the upcoming Laugh Station: Papaya marks the third new show in the series. Maryland Ensemble Theatre will present Laugh Station: Papaya as part of its MET-X series, created to expand the collective horizons of the MET ensemble and its audience. Performances are tonight, July 27 and 28 at 9pm and July 28 at midnight at Maryland Ensemble Theatre (31 W Patrick St. Frederick) located in the historic FSK Hotel. The title says it all, the Jamboree is sure to have you busting a gut, tapping your toes, singing along and pulling the straw from your teeth. The show will feature hilarious original sketches and a revolving roster of guest artists and musical acts. Directed by MET Artistic Director Tad Janes and Associate Artistic Directors Gené Fouché and Julie Herber, the show runs from tonight, May 10 through June 3 every Thursday through Sunday at the MET, located in the historic FSK hotel at 31 W Patrick Street.
