The Broadway at Birdland concert series has announced that Donna McKechnie's new bi-monthly talk & variety show will premiere on January 6 at 7pm. Broadway legends Tommy Tune, Andrea McArdle, Faith Prince and Jerry Mitchell have all signed on to be part of the series, with dates to be announced.

On September 2 (7pm), the Broadway at Birdland Concert Series will present Christopher Sieber in 'Minnesota Boy Does Well: Tales From Back & Center Stage.' Sieber will be making his nightclub debut on the historic stage with musical director Joey Chancey.

On Sunday, January 16, 1938 the world of Jazz and Swing changed forever. On Sunday, September 22, 2013 The Capital Jazz Orchestra and New York City clarinet virtuoso Ken Peplowski will salute the 75rd anniversary of this momentous concert…recreating that very show, to the minute! Benny Goodman's 1938 show at Carnegie Hall in New York has been billed as the world's most famous jazz concert, a ground-breaking event that brought jazz into the mainstream. The concert featured such swing icons as Lionel Hampton, Harry James, Gene Krupa, Count Basie, Lester Young and Johnny Hodges and included such timeless jazz classics as "Don't Be That Way," "Avalon," and the iconic swing performance of "Sing, Sing, Sing."

Today, this veteran of major jazz festivals from Montreux, Switzerland, to the Newport Jazz Festival in New York City, is also carving out his own niche as founder and leader of The Dave Stahl Big Band. The master musician's signature assembly of seasoned musicians will be performing at 7:30 p.m. Today, Aug. 15, at the Sharadin Bigler Theatre, home of the Ephrata Performing Arts Center. America's oldest continuing summer chamber music festival, Music Mountain continues their 84th season with a weekend of dancing and classical music. The Dover String Quartet brings their youthful enthusiasm to Brahms and Mozart with clarinetist AlexanderFiterstein today, July 28th (3PM). This weekend's concerts are a fine example of the diversity of musicians that Music Mountain has showcased this summer; introducing audiences, young and old, to chamber, jazz, and country music. The summer tradition continues through September 8th.
