Get ready to swing next month when Brisbane's own Queensland Pops Orchestra presents the next concert in its 2012 program, Music To Swing By today, 18 August in Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC's) Concert Hall.

Tonight, August 6th, as the CJO continues its popular summer residency at Andy's Jazz Club, it will feature one of Chicago's premiere guitarists, Bobby Broom. As one of Chicago's most recognizable musicians, Bobby Broom is also a composer and educator, as well as the founder of the Deep Blue Organ Trio. Adept at many musical styles, he performs Jazz, Funk, Soul, R&B and the Blues, and has worked with some of the biggest names in jazz, including Sonny Rollins, Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers, Stanley Turrentine, Miles Davis and Ramsey Lewis.

The Hollywood Bowl 2012 jazz series moves forward with a star-studded homage to the legacy of musical genius Ray Charles tonight, July 11. The show is set to begin at 8 PM.

Catalina Bar & Grill will present BARBARA MORRISON in "A Tribute To Dinah Washington" - Queen of the Blues starring renowned Jazz and Blues singer, Barbara Morrison accompanied by The Barbara Morrison Performing Arts Center All-Star Big Band directed by John Stephens for One Night Only!!! The performance will be presented on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at Catalina Bar & Grill; 6725 West Sunset Boulevard (just east of North Highland Avenue); Los Angeles, CA 90028. There is $25 Cover Charge per person. Valet Parking is available.

Easton's State Theatre has announced its 2012-13 season- on sale to State Theatre Members Wed, August 1 (Box Office window at 453 Northampton Street opens at 6 AM; Online Ticketing and Phone lines open at Noon).
