Over the weekend, the world got the sad news of the passing of GLEE star Cory Monteith. Monteith passed away at Vancouver's Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel, police later confirmed in a press conference, however, no official cause of death has yet been publicly revealed. The New York Post reports that the autopsy of late actor Cory Monteith has been fast tracked due to 'intense public interest.' On Saturday, July 13, the GLEE star was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room.
According to The New York Times, Morrison acknowledged Monteith's passing, calling him a brother, and offering his condolences. He then, at the last minute, switched his opening number to an a capella version of 'What I Did for Love' from A CHORUS LINE. The song was also performed during GLEE's second season.
