Jerris was inspired to write the story after the birth of his nephew, and was the first book in a trilogy. The third book in the series, 'The Littlest Witch,' Jerris adapted into a children's musical with his sister, Corinne Aquilina, and is licensed by Steele Spring Stage Rights. Written in metered poetry, 'The Littlest Spruce' is a feel-good story that doesn't dwell on the commercialism of Christmas, instead, focuses on the importance of family values. Rapture, Blister, Burn tells an interesting story of 4 women from multiple generations all engrossed in feminist theory. Most of the dialogue in this play involves theories and is very intellectual but not so much that it's hard to follow.
