Some of Broadway's brightest talents will perform highlights from the epic Broadway-Bound musical "Akhenaten the Musical" on May 1 at 9:00pm at The Triad. Broadway favorites N'Kenge (Motown the Musical, Sondheim on Sondheim), Vince Oddo (Rocky, American Idiot), and Ted Keegan (Phantom of the Opera, Sweeney Todd) will be joined by Seph Stanek (Naked Boys Singing), John Lucas, Sahar Milani, Alia Munsch, and Erik Ransom.
The initial artists are now confirmed for 'Broadway Sings Bruno Mars', the eighth installment of the acclaimed Broadway Sings concert series. Some of Broadway's current, brightest talents will sing completely new arrangements of the hits of funk superstar Bruno Mars, accompanied by a full band playing brand new, original orchestrations of the singer's greatest songs.
Performers include Nick Rashad Burroughs (Kinky Boots), Steel Burkhardt (Aladdin, Hair), Alison Case (Hands on a Hardbody, Hair), Corey Mach (Hands on a Hardbody, Godspell), Zak Resnick (Mamma Mia), Keala Settle (Les Miserables, Hands on a Hardbody), and Joey Toranto (Kinky Boots, Rock of Ages). Additional performers will be announced at a later date.
Broadway Gives Back has announced that the Third Annual 'Broadway Charity Songs' concert will be recorded by Broadway Records as part of their 'Live from 54 Below' series. The concert will feature new songs written by Sting, Brian Yorkey, Andrew Lippa, Henry Krieger, Pasek & Paul, and others.
