The International Committee of the League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW), in a co-presentation with the Martin E. Segal Theatre Center, will honor Adelheid Roosen (The Netherlands) with the Gilder/Coigney International Theatre Award (GCITA) on Monday, October 23, 2017, at the Graduate Center, CUNY, 365 Fifth Avenue, with an all-day immersion (10:00am to 8:30pm) into Roosen's life and legacy.

Artistic Director Jacqulyn Buglisi and Buglisi Dance Theatre are honored to be welcomed back by Lincoln Center for a 7th annual presentation of the transcendent  '9/11 Table of Silence Project,' a public performance tribute to 9/11 and prayer for peace and healing, conceived and choreographed by Jacqulyn Buglisi.  The tribute will take place Monday September 11, beginning at 8:15 AM and concluding precisely at 8:46 AM, the moment when American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower.  Buglisi was inspired to create the 9/11 Table of Silence by Italian visual artist Rossella Vasta's sculptural installation of 100 ceramic plates that represent a banquet table uniting humanity.   Given the unrelenting and tragic acts of terror and violence that continue in the world,  '9/11 Table of Silence' remains as relevant and timely today as when it was first performed seven  years ago at Lincoln Center.                                        

Stunning brunette chanteuse French songstress, Chloe Perrier, and her jazz band, French Heart will headline festivities at NYC's 93rd annual Bastille Day Ball 2017 on Thursday, July 13th at "The 404".  New York's official Bastille Day celebration, now in its 93rd year, is produced by The Committee of French-Speaking Societies (CAFUSA), who have produced of a Bastille Day Ball every year since its founding in 1924. The Bastille Day Ball has become the major annual French community event in the Tri-State area. Bastille Day Ball 2017 is held under the patronage of His Excellency Gerard Araud, Ambassador of France to the United States, His Excellency Francois Delattre Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the U.N., and The Honorable Anne-Claire Legendre, Consul General of France in New York.

Just yesterday, Irish Repertory Theatre presented SONDHEIM AT SEVEN, this season's Gala Benefit production, at The Town Hall. Featuring an introduction by Special Guest Angela Lansbury, SONDHEIM AT SEVEN honored Carmine D. Boccuzzi, Jr., Partner at Cleary Gottlieb LLP, and recognized the extraordinary contributions of Anne Anderson, Ambassador of Ireland to the United States; Barbara Jones, Consul General of Ireland in New York; and David Donoghue, Ambassador of Ireland to the United Nations.

Irish Repertory Theatre has announced more performers for SONDHEIM AT SEVEN, this season's Gala Benefit production, on Tuesday, June 13th at 7 PM at The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street, NYC).

Featuring a full orchestra and chorus under the direction of John Bell, performers for the evening include Nancy Anderson, Melissa Errico, Mark Evans, Danielle Ferland, Malcolm Gets, Jeremy Jordan, Rebecca Luker  Howard McGillin, Ryan Silverman and Max Von Essen, plus more to be announced and special surprise guests!

He will be joined by accompanist David George, along with guest fiddle player, Chicago's Devin Shepherd. Kearns is an original member of the PBS sensation, The Irish Tenors, and he also enjoys a robust international solo career.

The Mexican Museum (Museum), the premier West Coast museum of Mexican, Mexican-American, Chicano, Latin American, and Latino art, culture and heritage, announces that Dr. Andrés Roemer, Consul General of Mexico in San Francisco, has joined Prof. Harley Shaiken, Chair of the Center of Latin American Studies (CLAS), University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley), as co-chair of the Museum's prestigious International Advisory Board. The University of California, Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA) is renowned internationally as one of the best venues for experiencing historical and contemporary world cinema. When BAMPFA opens its new downtown Berkeley building designed by Diller, Scofidio + Renfro to the public on January 31, 2016, filmgoers will be treated to more of the stellar film programming they've come to expect, as well as vastly improved facilities for experiencing and studying the moving image. In its inaugural year, BAMPFA will expand the number of film screenings it presents, hosting programs 52 weeks per year, offering more film programming for K–12 students and lifelong learners, and introducing some limited engagements of selected films. BAMPFA patrons will enjoy two state-of-the-art film theaters (232 and 33 seats, respectively), an exterior LED screen for occasional outdoor screenings, and easier accessibility to the well-appointed Film Library and Study Center, galleries, store, and cafe.
