Auditions for Pinckney Players' production of MY FAIR LADY will be held June 1st and 2nd at the Jane Tasch Theatre.

Dale Gutzman, founder and artistic director of Off The Wall Theatre, is returning to Skylight Opera Theatre to premier his new work, An Evening with Gilbert & Sullivan. Gutzman not only wrote the show but will also be directing it. He is no stranger to the Skylight, having directed twenty-three shows in the 1970s and 80s.

Music Theatre of Connecticut's MainStage presents 'Pete 'n' Keely,' a rollicking musical comedy with Book by James Hindman, Original Music by Patrick Brady, Original Lyrics by Mark Waldrop, Patrick S. Brady and others. Join America's swingin' sweethearts, Pete and Keely, as they reunite for a live television special re-living their illustrious musical career on TV, in Las Vegas showrooms, and at the top of the hit parade. The show features great hits of The Rat Pack era, including "Lover," "Besame Mucho," "This Could Be the Start of Something Big," "Secret Love," "Fever," "Black Coffee" and many more. Performances are June 4-13, 2010 at the Music Theatre of Connecticut Studio Theatre in Westport, CT.

Pinckney Players will hold auditions for MY FAIR LADY on June 1st and 2nd at the Jane Tasch Theatre (2130 E. M-36 at McGregor Road, Pinckney). A Case of Libel is based on the historical libel case of the 1950's, Reynolds v. Pegler. A celebrated war correspondent engages a well-known attorney and files a libel suit against a widely syndicated newspaper columnist who not only attacks his reputation and personal life, but also his patriotism.

Village Players Theater presents the world premiere of Alive and Dead in Indiana, an adaptation of short stories written by nationally acclaimed writer, and Fort Wayne native, Michael Martone. Adapted and directed by Doug Long. Michael Martone will be in attendance this Friday and Saturday's performance and will conduct a Q&A promptly after the show. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the upcoming remake of the 1964 classic My Fair Lady is still in the works, despite comments made at the Cannes Film Festival by the film's would-be star, Carey Mulligan, that hinted otherwise. Mulligan had commented that the film 'has gone away for a little while.'

Bell Road Barn Players Hold Auditions For BLACK COMEDY 6/14-15

NBC has issued pickups for four more new scripted series with dramas 'The Cape,' 'Outlaw,' 'Harry's Law' and the comedy 'Friends With Benefits' - while renewing the action-comedy series 'Chuck' for a fourth season -- all for the 2010-11 season. The announcement was made today by Angela Bromstad, President, Primetime Entertainment, NBC and Universal Media Studios.
