The Theatre World Awards presentation were held at Manhattan Theatre Club's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, 261 West 47th Street, in an invitation-only ceremony, Tuesday, June 2, 2009. Peter Filichia was host, Barry Keating directed, and Scott Denny, Kati Meister, and Erin Oestreich were the event's producers. BroadwayWorld's cameras were there for every moment of the starry celebration!

Additional performances for the 63rd Annual Tony Awards® Telecast were announced today. Dolly Parton along with the cast of 9 to 5: The Musical; Elton John with the cast of Billy Elliot, The Musical; Liza Minnelli; Stockard Channing; and the band Poison along with the cast of Rock of Ages, will be taking the stage, joining previously announced performances by this year's Tony-nominated Best Musicals and Best Musical Revivals, including: Billy Elliot, The Musical; Guys and Dolls; HAIR; Next to Normal; Pal Joey; Rock of Ages; Shrek the Musical; and West Side Story.

Featured performances for the 63rd Annual Tony Awards were announced today. The Tony Awards telecast on Sunday, June 7th will feature performances by each of the Tony-nominated Best Musicals and Best Musical Revivals, including: Billy Elliot, The Musical; Guys and Dolls; Hair; Next to Normal; Pal Joey; Rock of Ages; Shrek the Musical; and West Side Story. Jane Fonda, star of 33 VARIATIONS, told David Letterman last evening that the show had been successful and rewarding and that producers, cast and crew were desperate to continue with the show. She's hoping that it will tour the United States in 2010, which is when the actress, who has 3 films, a book and knee surgery scheduled will next be free.
