Class registration is limited to qualified students, and will be accepted one week prior to the first class. Instructor's permission is required to take this class.

Comedian Eddie Izzard will host the 25th Annual Film Independent Spirit Awards, Film Independent has announced. The awards will take place the night of March 5th at LA Live's event deck in Los Angeles. Film Independent said of the comedian, 'Izzard's tangential, absurd, bizarre, and surreal comic narratives are lauded for their creativity and wit, which suits the irreverent, laid-back style of the Spirit Awards.'

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards were handed out tonight, Sunday, February 21, 2010. 'The Hurt Locker' swept the awards picking up the honors of Best Director, Original Screenplay and Film, and also winning for Editing, Sound and Cinematography. Colin Firth picked up a Best Actor BAFTA award for his work in 'A Single Man' while Christoph Waltz won in the category of Best Supporting Actor for 'Inglourious Basterds.'

Nominations for the 82nd Academy Awards® were announced on Tuesday, February 2, by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Tom Sherak and Oscar-nominated actress and Academy member Anne Hathaway.

Jerry Lewis has announced to the Las Vegas Review-Journal that his upcoming show, THE NUTTY PROFESSOR, is aiming to open on Broadway in October or November of 2010. Lewis will make his theatrical directorial debut on Broadway with the new musical, 'THE NUTTY PROFESSOR', based on the 1963 film that he starred in and co-wrote. With music by Academy Award, Emmy Award, Grammy Award and Pulitzer Prize winner Marvin Hamlisch and a book and lyrics by multiple Tony Award winner and Grammy Nominee Rupert Holmes, the musical is aiming for a bow on Broadway in the 2010/2011 season and is being produced by Loud Watch Productions, LLC.
