The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities will open the regional premiere of A Man of No Importance directed by Arvada Center Artistic Producer, Rod A. Lansberry in the Main Stage Theater tonight, April 28, running through May 17, 2015. A Man of No Importance will feature live music played by Colorado's legendary Irish-folk band Colcannon.

Familiar to families over several generations, TARZAN tells the story of an infant boy orphaned in a shipwreck on the shores of west Africa. The child is taken in and raised by a tribe of gorillas. He becomes a man, thriving in this primitive environment, until the arrival of a hunting expedition and his realization of the world beyond his jungle home. TARZAN® The Stage Musical is based on the Disney animated film.

Arvada Center Artistic Producer Rod A. Lansberry has announced the cast for The Mousetrap by Agatha Christie. The Mousetrap directed by Pat Payne, will run in the intimate Black Box Theater January 28 - February 23, 2014. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at 1:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Due to popular demand three 1:00 p.m. matinees have been added on Thursdays, February 6, 13 and 20. While I do appreciate the liberties some directors take in exploring classics with alternative/parallel universes and the whole "what if?" scenario, sometimes a classic is best left a classic.
