Actor's Express closes its 2015-2016 season with the romantic comedy SIGNIFICANT OTHER by Joshua Harmon, running May 21 - June 19. The Express run of SIGNIFICANT OTHER is currently the only sanctioned production in the country aside from the play's acclaimed world premiere at Roundabout Theatre Company in New York City last summer. ?Theatrical Outfit announces the promotion of Clifton Guterman to Associate Artistic Director. Formerly The Outfit's Casting Director, Executive Associate and Artistic Associate, Guterman will continue his work in casting and literary management and will also serve as a community engagement liaison to connect the company's programming to greater Atlanta and beyond. After splitting his time between Theatrical Outfit and Atlanta's Actor's Express, where he is National New Play Network Producer in Residence, this season, Clifton will return to The Outfit in a full time capacity beginning July 1.

Atlanta, GA, November 2, 2015-The Suzi Bass Awards, Inc. announced winners for the 2014-2015 Atlanta professional theatrical season this evening at the 11th annual awards ceremony held at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts and Community Center. Presenters included local favorite performers Denise Arribas, Tiffany Porter, Gina Rickicki, Clifton Guterman, Kevin Harry, Jeremiah Parker Hobbs, Chris Kayser, and Topher Payne.

At its 2015 Annual Conference, the National New Play Network (NNPN) announced its 2015-2016 grant recipients with over $125,000 in awards, including awarding Atlanta theater maker Clifton Guterman a Producer Residency at Actor's Express.

The National New Play Network, the country's alliance of nonprofit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays, announced its 2015-16 grant recipients, including the Smith Prize for Political Theatre, the 2015 Annual Commission, two Playwright Residencies, five Producer Residencies, and two Collaboration Fund awards that will support partnership between eight of its members on two productions. In all, NNPN committed over $125,000 to fourteen Core Member Theaters and nine Affiliated Artists.
