Dayton's most eagerly awaited stage production will begin performances at the Benjamin & Marion Schuster Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, June 14 for a limited engagement of four weeks through Sunday, July 10. The opening night is Thursday, June 16 at 8PM. THE LION KING is part of the 2010-2011 Miami Valley & Good Samaritan Hospitals Broadway Series.

Today the auditions for the first ever Spanish production of The Lion King, one of the most anticipated musicals of all time, have started in Madrid, where it will open in Teatro Lope de Vega, no official date yet. Stage Entertainment expects over 2.000 artists to audition from registering on their website just one week after it opened, and for today more than 700 people, singers and dancers, have gathered in Teatros del Canal del Madrid.
