Curtain Call Theatre will present the first show of the main season, the musical comedy Reefer Madness from tonight, November 13th-23rd at Flagler Place in Downtown Stuart. An ever current musical, Reefer Madness is a musical parody of the 1936 filmReefer Madness: Tell Your Children which takes on the sensationalism that engulfed the country at the onslaught of the War of Drugs.

The Producers is Mel Brooks' irreverent and satirical but ever-loving homage to Broadway show biz and has etched into the minds of theatregoers some of the most memorable if not outlandish concepts, characters and lines ever. It is nearly impossible not to measure later performances of Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom against Mostel and Wilder or Lane and Broderick…BUT, not so impossible when Michael McAssey and Jared Mancuso take the stage in Arizona Broadway Theatre's production of this theatrical gem and lead a cast of performers any one of whom can steal the show.

Curtain Call Productions will kick off its new studio series with the regional premiere of Jonathon Larson's Tick, Tick… Boom! at the new A.C.T. Studio Theatre with a run from July 17th- 27th. Curtain Call, which helms its main series shows out of Flagler Place in Downtown Stuart, will begin offering smaller, more intimate shows as a part of its Studio Series at the A.C.T. Studio Theatre on Ocean Boulevard.

Clayton Phillips makes his directorial debut at the Miami Beach Stage Door Theatre, leading a cast of accomplished actors in what promises to be a riveting production. Currently the Production Manager for Maltz Jupiter Theatre, Clayton has also directed local Florida productions of Music Man, Hairspray and Chicago for Lake Worth Playhouse and The Outgoing Tide for Arts Garage in Delray Beach. He is the recipient of the New Hampshire Theatre Award for Best Director for his production of John Pielmeier's Slow Dance With A Hot Pick-Up and was Harold Prince's assistant for the Broadway and touring productions of Kiss of the Spider Woman, Candide and Parade.
