2018 Sundance Film Festival Feature Films Announced

Sundance Institute showcases bold, independent storytelling at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, beginning with today's announcement of feature films selected across all categories. The Festival hosts screenings in Park City, Salt Lake City and at Sundance Mountain Resort, from January 18 28.

BWW Review: Swedish Production of THE BOOK OF MORMON at Chinateatern, Stockholm.

Author: Isa Ponturo. Trey Parker and Matt Stone's critically-acclaimed and smash hit satire of Mormon missionaries was one of the biggest hypes of 2011. It is one of those mainstream shows that' breaks the fourth wall' with non-thespians (Think Hamilton) and still is still one of the most popular shows in the theatre community. Sweden was the first non english speaking country to make a production of this show and it opened to raving reviews earlier this year.

The Sydney Theatre Company and Global Creatures' production of Muriel's Wedding The Musical opened this weekend in Sydney. Photo Flash: Promethean Theatre Ensemble's 12th Season Opens with Jose Rivera's MARISOL

Promethean Theatre Ensemble's twelfth season will open in October with Jose Rivera's MARISOL an absurdist comedy in which a young New York City woman of Puerto Rican descent finds herself immersed in a battle led by angels to save the universe from a senile and ineffectual God. Marisol Perez is a copy editor for a Manhattan publisher. Though she is a white-collar worker, she still chooses to live alone in the tough section of the Bronx where she grew up. The play opens with Marisol barely escaping a vicious attack on her subway trip back to the Bronx. Later that evening, Marisol's guardian angel pays a visit to tell her she can no longer serve as Marisol's protector because she has been called to join the revolution already in progress against an old and senile God who is dying and 'taking the rest of the universe with him.' The angel warns Marisol that she will face many threats over the coming days and advises her to be prepared to defend herself. Soon, Marisol is caught up in the Armageddon being fought on the streets of New York City.

Ripe Time Premieres Haruki Murakami's SLEEP in Philadelphia

Sleep will make its world premiere, October 27-28, at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Pennsylvania and will have its New York premiere at BAM Fisher as part of the 2017 Next Wave Festival, November 29 - December 2.

Cleveland Orchestra Announce for Additional Details for 2017-18 Tour

Franz Welser-M st will lead concerts on three continents as part of The Cleveland Orchestra's 100th season in 2017-18, including two trips to Europe, appearances in New York City, and a return to Tokyo's Suntory Hall. All told, over 20 concerts are planned across seven weeks of touring, in addition to the Orchestra's regular home season in Cleveland at Severance Hall.
