Singin' in the Rain, a cloned stage version of the 1957 film classic, will open on the Lohrey Stage at Theatre Memphis on June 7 and run through June 30, 2013.

All-American small-town sweetheart Debbie Benton has one dream - to become a Texas Cowgirls Cheerleader. When she gets her big break, the only thing standing between her and success is the bus fare to Dallas. She and her friends get after-school jobs but when their jobs just don't cut it, Debbie's boss has an idea of how good girls can earn lots of money performing "little favors." The girls get down to it with enthusiasm and through sex, sweat, and tears they raise enough money for Debbie to achieve her dream.
