Shattered Globe Theatre Presents BURN THIS, Now thru 11/18

Shattered Globe Theatre kicks off its 2012/13 Season with BURN THIS by Lanford Wilson, directed by Linda Gillum, playing tonight, October 18 - November 18, 2012 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago. The production features Shattered Globe ensemble members Kate LoConti and Brad Woodard, with Ryan Kitley and Jake Szczepaniak. Tickets for BURN THIS are currently available at www.shatteredglobe.org or by calling (773) 795-8150. The press performance is Sunday, October 21 at 3 pm.

Nancy Redman Joins Director Austin Pendleton for EMERGENCY A LA CARTE at United Solo Festival, 10/15

Actress/writer/comedian NANCY REDMAN will once again join forces with director Austin Pendleton for the premiere of her one-woman show 'EMERGENCY A La Carte,' in which 'a comedian dies and finds that death is her toughest audience.' Two performances in the United Solo Theatre Festival, tonight, October 15 & November 17, both at 9 PM, at Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd St.

Palm Beach Dramaworks Launches 2012-13 Season with TALLEY'S FOLLY, 10/12

Lanford Wilson's romantic comedy, Talley's Folly, will launch Palm Beach Dramaworks' 2012-13 season on Friday, October 12 (8PM) at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre (201 Clematis Street). The production will play a strictly limited engagement through November 11, with specially priced preview performances slated for October 10 and 11.

Heather Ehlers' SPIN Plays United Solo Festival, 11/9 & 12

Heather Ehlers, long-time stage actress, will return to New York City with her solo work, SPIN, for two Encore performances at the 2012 United Solo Theatre Festival. SPIN played to sold out houses last year in Los Angeles and New York City. Performances are November 9 & 12 at 9:00pm.

Circle X Theatre Co. is thrilled to announce the world premiere musical, BAD APPLES, book by Jim Leonard, music and lyrics by Rob Cairns and Beth Thornley, directed by John Langs, choreography by Cassandra Daurden, and musical direction by Rob Cairns and Beth Thornley. BAD APPLES will begin previews tonight, September 28 and will open on Saturday, October 13 and will perform through Saturday, December 1 at Atwater Village Theatre, 3269 Casitas Ave. in Los Angeles.

On hiatus from the AMC smash hit Mad Men, Vincent Kartheiser comes to the Bay Area to lead a vibrant cast in San Jose Rep's world premiere of the Jonathan Marc Feldman drama The Death of the Novel, directed by Rick Lombardo.The cast also includes Vaishnavi Sharma (Sheba), Patrick Jones, Zarah Mahler and Amy Pietz. Pietz is well-known to TV audiences for her roles in The Office, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Burn Notice, Nip/Tuck, The Closer and Private Practice.

Tony Lo Bianco to Lead WHAT THE BABE SAID and JOINT RETURN in 2013

Tony-nominated producer Jeff Britton (THE ME NOBODY KNOWS) is set to present WHAT THE BABE SAID and JOINT RETURN, two one-act plays by Martin Halpern, in early 2013, starring Tony Award-nominee Tony Lo Bianco (A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE, HIZZONER!). Tony-nominated director John Tillinger (LOOT, LOVE LETTERS) is set to direct the production at an Off-Broadway venue to be announced.
