Sleep will make its world premiere, October 27-28, at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Pennsylvania and will have its New York premiere at BAM Fisher as part of the 2017 Next Wave Festival, November 29 - December 2.

10 Hairy Legs will provide the Dance to Learn program to all second grade students at the Jerome Dunn Academy #9 in Elizabeth, NJ.

10 Hairy Legs, the all-male repertory dance company extends its footprint during its sixth season of performances and educational programming, appearing in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Florida, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Vermont, as well as in its home state of New Jersey.  Artistic Director Randy James noted, "We are pleased to have had such a positive and wide-reaching response from our presenting partners across the county to our vision of exploring the artistry of the male dancer. With more than 23 works in our repertory including 14 commissioned works, we bring a wealth of ways to investigate and illuminate the male role in dance today and to display the tremendous versatility of our company members while inviting interesting conversations about gender roles." 

LUMBERYARD Contemporary Performing Arts will present the feath3r theory in: Another f**king Warhol Production, or Who's Afraid of Andy Warhol?, a new work from Raja Feather Kelly and his company the feath3r theory, June 22-24 at The Kitchen as part of the second annual LUMBERYARD in the City festival.

Curated by Juan Michael Porter II, THE SERIES 2017 presents a versatile range of artistically provocative choreographers in contrasting programs of dance.  At each performance, one or two of the 12 guest companies will share the program with Michael Mao Dance in a set of works that run the gamut from social dance to jazz to contemporary ballet to abstract pieces marked by their German Expressionistic values. The common thread running through each company featured in THE SERIES  is the use of spectacular physical virtuosity to communicate fantastic ideas, June 6-11 at the Hudson Guild Theatre, 441 West 26th Street.

By graphically integrating the changing shapes of the dancing body with the static shapes of alphabetical letters, the newest issue of Dance Ink, scheduled for publication March 27, presents a dynamic visual relationship between the two languages, both imaginative and newly provocative. Patsy Tarr founded Dance Ink in 1989.

Freely adapted from Pierre Corneille's L'Illusion Comique, THE ILLUSION was praised by Chicago Theatre Beat as "hilarious, dreamlike and startlingly poignant".
