Goodman Theatre announces the complete line-up for its 2013 New Stages festival, this year celebrating Latino playwrights. Three staged readings-The Rooster Room by Pulitzer Prize winner Quiara Alegria Hudes, Feathers and Teeth by Charise Castro Smith and Another Word for Beauty by Jose Rivera-complement the previously-announced two fully-staged workshop productions, The Upstairs Concierge by Pulitzer Prize finalist Kristoffer Diaz and The Solid Sand Below by former Goodman Theatre Playwrights Unit member Martin Zimmerman.

Previews begin Thursday, October 24, for Year of the Rooster by Youngblood playwright Eric Dufault, directed by John Giampietro, at the Ensemble Studio Theatre, 549 West 52nd Street. Year of the Rooster is a comic, mythic elevation of the gritty subculture of American cockfighting by a 25-year-old playwright. It opens the Ensemble Studio Theatre's 46th season Monday, October 28, at 7:00pm .

Stable Cable Lab Co. has announced the cast and creative team for the workshop production of Nibbler, a play by Ken Urban, directed by Stephen Brackett. Nibblerwill begin invited presentations on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Theatre 54 at Shetler Studios (244 W. 54th St - between Broadway & 8th Ave.) and is scheduled to run through November 23rd, 2013. The results of the workshop production - including the actors' experience with the work, the aesthetics of the director and designers, and the audience's feedback - will be invaluable to the development of this play and talkbacks will follow several performances to discuss the work.

Stage & Screen, a collaboration between Coolidge Corner Theatre and Huntington Theatre Company that explores the depictions of shared themes in Huntington productions and acclaimed films begins its second season of collaboration tonight, October 14 at 7pm with Sidney Lumet's Academy Award-winning film Network. The screening will be followed by a conversation with playwright, screenwriter, and film director Stephen Belber and others from the Huntington's production of The Power of Duff.

A special open captioned performance of Miss Saigon has been announced for tonight at 7:30 pm. The annals of music theatre are dotted with plenty of amazing and award winning shows. Shows that have become classics, and part of the 'Golden Age' of music theatre. Thoroughly Modern Millie may be a recent Broadway hit, but this masterpiece deserves it's place alongside the classics of American musical theatre, and the cast of Millie at the Ogunquit Playhouse deserves more than a mere footnote in this show's history.
