Ovation Award-winners and Troubadour Theater Company favorites Rick Batalla, Lisa Valenzuela and Beth Kennedy reunite with long-time 'Troubie' Joseph Leo Bwarie in Little Drummer Bowie after his Broadway run as Frankie Valli in the Tony Award-winning musical Jersey Boys. Artistic Director and founder, Matt Walker, will co-direct the musical parody with Bwarie.

At the beginning of August, Disney Channel launched 12 Short exclusive films via their new digital platform, 'Free Period' and Cinevative co-produced the short film 'How to Catch a Ghost' written and directed by Christopher Scott of 'So You Think You Can Dance' fame. (Scott is also known for his choreography work on 'Teen Beach Movie,' and 'Step Up All In')

The Playroom Theater will present My Father's Voice: Letters From Ellis Island and The War in the Pacific 1938-1945, conceived and performed by Eric Krebs at The Playroom Theater (151 West 46th Street - just east of Broadway).

Horn, closes its 2016 season with the New York premiere of Daniel's Husband by Michael McKeever from September 23 through October 16, 2016. In Daniel's Husband, Mitchell and Daniel are the ideal couple, everything but married. Mitchell does not believe in marriage; Daniel does. "When their life together takes a shocking and unexpected turn," says Mr. Brancato, who will stage the production at Penguin Rep, "we learn about the power and pain of love in this breathtaking new play."

Troubadour Theatre Company's classless clowns of classical comedy go rogue in their latest adaptation at the Getty Villa. Taking generous liberties with the source material (Plautus's Mostellaria) they reinvent the over-2000-year-old play as HAUNTED HOUSE PARTY, A Roman Comedy in their own unique style. Yes, it's definitely 'a comedy tonight.'

For their inaugural offering, Great Circle Productions, bringing to life projects that inspire, offer hope, and touch the human heart, presents the world premiere of EDWIN, The Story of Edwin Booth, a dramatic musical that commemorates the 150th Anniversary (1866-2016) of the legendary actor's return to the stage, as well as the 400th Anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare (1564-1616), with music by Marianna Rosett, and book & lyrics by Eric Swanson.

Due to scheduling conflicts, producer Eric Krebs has announced today A Class Act, the inaugural and relevant new play by attorney and playwright Norman Shabel, will give its final performance on Sunday afternoon, August 28, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at New World Stages - Stage 5 (340 West 50th Street - between 8th & 9th Avenues) where performances began July 9, 2016 followed by Opening Night on July 25, 2016.

Amas Musical Theatre and The Amas Song Salon will offer a special presentation with four rising Broadway talents - Sam Davis (An American in Paris), Daniel May (Flower Drum Song), Rashidra Scott (Sister Act), and A.J. Shively (Bright Star) - who will explore the art of musical orchestrating and arranging.

The Music Center is partnering with The Dizzy Feet Foundation (DFF) to present the West Coast's flagship National Dance Day event, this year in Grand Park. Dancers of all skill levels are invited to participate in the official National Dance Day routine at the free dance extravaganza. Nigel Lythgoe, executive producer and judge of the hit FOX TV show, So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD);" choreographer Christopher Scott; Lifetime's Dance Moms' Mackenzie Ziegler; and cast members from SYTYCD will join in the day's activities.
