These, along with all their fellow nominees, will be honored for their excellence on the small and large stages during our annual awards dinner, slated to be held on Monday, June 17, 2019, 6:00 p.m.at the prestigious Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, California.

BWW Review: IDENTITY at El Barrio Artspace - Fascinating Tale of Growing Up Disabled and Gay

'Some people go to therapy to work out their stuff,' Nicholas Linnehan informs at the start of his autobiographical play, Identity. Not him. Instead, 'I write plays to fix myself.' Before the first scene even starts, his character named Mike is laying bare his emotions for the audience to see. A man with a mild case of cerebral palsy and disarthryic speech, he points out that he is different from us. 'And deep down inside, I guess I'm praying I'm really not.'

BWW Review: THE COLOR PURPLE Speaks Directly to the Need for Hope and Redemption During Challenging Times

I cannot even think of enough accolades to share about the current production being staged by Greenway Arts Alliance (Whitney Weston and Pierson Blaetz, Co-Founders and Co-Artistic Directors) at the Greenway Court Theatre (544 N. Fairfax Avenue, Los Angeles) through December 9. The totally entertaining and artistically brilliant production, directed and choreographed by NAACP Theater Award-winner Jeffrey Polk, pulled me in from the moment it started until the end, given the amazingly talented cast who bring the characters so realistically to life that you can actually feel all the emotions each is going through from moment to moment. You will laugh, be fearful, cry and celebrate with all of them by the time the show ends.

BWW Review: THE 2018 WORLD CHOREOGRAPHY AWARDS OCTOBER 23, 2018 at The Saban Theatre

Produced and Presented by Cheryl Baxter-Ratliff and Allen Walls, in association with Break The Floor and held at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, CA, there was an overwhelming turnout within the Dance Community to this event. There were reportedly 1,400 people attending. It was a spectacular evening! The all -inclusive 8th Annual WORLD CHOREOGRAPHY AWARDS. Because this is the 8th Annual Awards Ceremony, I feel a change has evolved regarding categories up for Awards. Wider acceptance of all forms of Dance, Interpretive Movement, new forms of technology and genres not considered previously. All-Inclusive is a modern term, but it's great to see that the WCA is embracing and incorporating so many more possibilities that qualify for our consideration.

Photo Flash: Resonance Works' Presents ON THE TOWN

Set during WWII, On the Town follows the amorous adventures of three sailors on 24-hour shore leave in New York City.  Determined to make every minute count, the three friends set off to explore the Big Apple and to find romance - encountering colorful characters and hilarious misadventures along the way.  The revolutionary score boldly draws from diverse musical inspirations - jazz, spirituals, operetta, symphonic classicism, beautiful ballads, and catchy tunes - including the iconic songs "New York, New York," "Lonely Town," and "Some Other Time," plus a plethora of purely orchestral music.

BWW Review: Intense, Involving BABY EYES Will Open Yours - Wide

The Playwrights' Arena's world premiere of playwright Donald Jolly's BABY EYES presents a volatile, in-your-face telling of Gio, a diminutive teenage boy surviving bullies and homophobia in 1950's Baltimore. Jon Lawrence Rivera expertly directs his talented cast at a fast, smooth pace. Rudy Martinez totally inhabits the pivotal role of the elfin Gio who spends his days at school running from a gang of bullies and his evenings avoiding his demanding racist father Sal (a commanding Ted Monte).
