BWW Review: FREUD'S LAST SESSION - Verbal Sparring At Its Apex

In FREUD'S LAST SESSION, playwright Mark St. Germain has written an intricate, very detailed script of what he imagines as a chance meeting between Dr. Sigmund Freud and C. S. Lewis. Set in 1939 London the day England entered World War II, the two very well-read men debate on the existence of God. Watching Martin Rayner as Freud and Martyn Stanbridge as Lewis butt heads in their reasonings of the existence/non-existence of God is much like watching a Wimbleton Tennis Final.

Photo Flash: First Look at Visceral THE DANCE OF DEATH at Odyssey Theatre

Deliciously dark, relentlessly brutal, fiercely funny. Lizzy Kimball, Darrell Larson and Jeff LeBeau form three points of a treacherous triangle in Conor McPherson's new version of TheDance of Death by August Strindberg. Ron Sossi directs for a Sept. 23 opening at Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

Rogue Machine Brings DAYTONA to Los Angeles

Rogue Machine Opens the American Premiere of "DAYTONA" on 9/9 in Los Angeles Written by Oliver Cotton    Haunting and humorous, Daytona is a play with two love stories at its heart. Joe and Elli were childhood friends who survived the Holocaust. They found each other, after the war, and have been married almost 50 years now and living in New York. The couple created an active world for themselves to forget the past…until the day an unexpected visitor arrives, fracturing the relationship that took a lifetime to build. How do we forgive ourselves, and others, and live with the parts of our past that are better forgotten?

BWW Review: Swear to God! THE DEVIL'S WIFE's Wickedly Good!

The Skylight Theatre Company's world premiere of THE DEVIL'S WIFE scores high on all fronts - Tom Jacobson's witty script (with a message), spot-on delivery by its talented cast of four, smooth direction by Eric Hoff, all complemented by Skylight Theatre team's first-rate technical elements. THE DEVIL'S WIFE's certainly one of the more successful Original (capital 'O' emphasized) theatre pieces I've seen over the years.

Skylight Theatre Company Opens the World Premiere of Louisa Hill's LORD OF THE UNDERWORLD'S HOME FOR UNWED MOTHERS

Recipient of the Mark Twain Award for Comic Playwriting from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, Louisa Hill's play opens in Los Angeles on April 8, 2017 at the Skylight Theatre Company. The roots of reproductive justice are unearthed in this poetically raw play by Louisa Hill. Knocked up as a teenager, Dee finally meets the baby she gave up for adoption. Only thing is, the baby is now 25, really into death metal, and wants nothing to do with her.
