Central School of Ballet is announcing that esteemed professional choreographers Jenna Lee and Sophie Laplane have joined the organisation's MA Choreography programme. The MA takes 18 months on average to complete, providing the opportunity for professional choreographers to hone their skills, engage in research and develop their practice at the highest level.

Central already attracts a mix of students from all over the world, including Japan, Australia, Italy, France, Spain, South Africa, Turkey, and Singapore alongside those from the UK.

Central School of Ballet's renowned graduate performing company Ballet Central will commence its annual nationwide tour at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London on Friday 2nd March 2018. Under the artistic direction of Christopher Marney, Ballet Central's diverse range of dance and theatre will perform in 20 towns and cities in England and Wales across a five month period.

Completing his trio of Tchaikovsky's great ballets, Sir Matthew Bourne has turned his choreographic hand to Sleeping Beauty, with the added surtitle 'a gothic romance.' After reportedly experiencing divine inspiration whilst staying in the former bedroom of the renowned Russian composer, Bourne has re-worked the notoriously difficult narrative of this famous fairy tale, injecting new life into a story where the protagonist usually spends much of the time asleep.

The first revival of Matthew Bourne's SLEEPING BEAUTY will open at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth tonight 17 October 2015 with an eight-week Christmas season at Sadler's Wells from Tuesday 1 December 2015 to Saturday 24 January 2016. (Press night on Wednesday 9 December 2015). In total, the production will play 18 venues.
