The Writers Guild of America, West (WGAW) has named two-time WGAW President Daniel Petrie, Jr. as its 2013 Morgan Cox Award honoree in recognition of his longtime service to the Guild. The award will be presented at the WGAW's 2013 Writers Guild Awards West Coast ceremony on Sunday, February 17, 2013, at the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE.

Veteran television writing partners Joshua Brand & John Falsey, who've co-created such acclaimed hit series as Northern Exposure, St. Elsewhere, and I'll Fly Away, are set to receive the Writers Guild of America, West's 2013 Paddy Chayefsky Laurel Award for Television, honoring lifetime achievement in outstanding television writing. Brand & Falsey will be recognized at the upcoming 2013 Writers Guild Awards' West Coast ceremony to be held on Sunday, February 17, 2013, at the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE.

A host of some of the best talent in West End musical theatre will join Hollywood stars Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and Anne Hathaway in the film of Les Misérables. The talented list below will be playing non starring roles in the forthcoming film.

Esta semana han tenido lugar en el Escuela de Música Aules de Barcelona las audiciones para la producción de Los Miserables que se estrenará la próxima temporada en la Ciudad Condal. El director musical Alfonso Casado, el director artístico Víctor Conde, el director residente Christopher Key y la productora ejecutiva Mariana Gómez Cora, con la colaboración de Sergi Cuenca al piano, supervisaron las pruebas de casting para encontrar a los nuevos miembros del reparto del exitoso musical de Boubil y Schönberg.

David Ordinas, Gerónimo Rauch, Sergi Albert, Alberto Aliaga, Ignasi Vidal y Víctor Díaz son los actores que han llegado a las pruebas finales para los papeles de Jean Valjean o Javert en Los Miserables, que se estrenará en el Lope de Vega de Madrid en Noviembre.

El equipo creativo internacional del musical 'Los Miserables', junto a miembros de la productora Stage Entertainment, celebrará esta semana en Madrid un taller de trabajo con los 67 finalistas resultantes de las audiciones abiertas que se convocaron recientemente para encontrar el reparto de la nueva producción que llegará al Lope de Vega en Noviembre.

El pasado lunes 7 de Junio comenzaron en Madrid las audiciones para el musical Los Miserables que se estrenará el 18 de Noviembre en el Teatro Lope de Vega de la Gran Vía. Más de 1200 personas pasan estos días por el escenario de este gran teatro para unirse al sueño que devolverá a Madrid uno de los musicales más grandes de todos los tiempos.

Hoy han comenzado las audiciones para Los Miserables en Madrid. El Teatro Lope de Vega se ha llenado de artistas e intérpretes que desde hoy y hasta el próximo jueves probarán suerte para entrar del reparto de la producción basada en la gira que recorre actualmente el Reino Unido con motivo del 25 aniversario del clásico musical de Boubil & Shönberg.

The Lucille Lortel Award-winning Parker Posey has joined the cast of the new film, Highland Park, currently shooting in Detroit. This comes a couple of months after the actress dropped out of Playwrights Horizon's THIS due to a case of Lymes Disease. Parker was replaced by Julianne Nicholson in the production, which begins previews on November 6 and runs through December 2.
