Huntington Premieres WICKED Book Writer Winnie Holzman's New Play CHOICE Tonight

The Huntington Theatre Company presents the world premiere of CHOICE by award-winning playwright Winnie Holzman and directed by Sheryl Kaller (Next Fall on Broadway). Performances begin tonight, October 16 and continue through November 15, 2015 at the South End / Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA.

TACT/The Actors Company Theatre presents the Off Broadway premiere of HARD LOVE, the searing 2003 play by Israeli playwright Motti Lerner. This first play of the 2015/16 season -- the company's 23rd -- is directed by TACT Artistic & Executive Director Scott Alan Evans, who most recently directed Beyond Therapy by Christopher Durang. The show is currently playing at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre. The play celebrated its opening last night, October 11th, and performances continue through October 31, 2015. Andrea Martin and Seth Rudetsky Appear at 2015 Fire Island Pines Literary and Theater Weekend

The 8th Annual Fire Island Pines Literary and Theater Weekend will feature two-time Tony and Emmy Award-winner Andrea Martin (slated for Broadway's upcoming produection of NOISES OFF) and Emmy nominee and theatre multihyphenate Seth Rudetsky, in performance and signing copies of their latest publications: ANDREA MARTIN'S LADY PARTS, a memoir by Ms. Martin, and THE RISE AND FALL OF A THEATER GEEK, Mr. Rudetsky's latest young adult novel.

Squeaky Bicycle Stages TEN WAYS ON A GUN at Theater for the New City Tonight

Theater for the New City (Crystal Field, Executive Director) will present Squeaky Bicycle Productions' World Premiere of Dylan Lamb's dark comedy Ten Ways on a Gun, directed by Kathryn McConnell (Pop Dies in Vegas) tonight, October 9-25 at the Community Space Theater at Theater for the New City (155 1st Avenue between 9th and 10th Streets). Performances will be October 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 18, 22, 23 & 24 at 8pm; October 12 at 7pm; October 11 & 25 at 3pm.Tickets ($15 in advance; $18 at the door) are available online at www.squeakybicycleproductions.com or by calling SmartTix at 212-868-4444. The show runs approximately 2 hours, including intermission. 

FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training to Present Durang & Stoppard Double-Bill

The FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training kicks off its 2015-16 season with a double bill of Tony and Obie Award-winning playwright Christopher Durang's THE ACTOR'S NIGHTMARE and multi-Tony Award-winner Tom Stoppard's THE REAL INSPECTOR HOUND. Presenting a full night of entertainment from two masters of absurdist comedy, the evening will start with 30-minute one-act THE ACTOR'S NIGHTMARE, include a brief intermission and close with THE REAL INSPECTOR HOUND. Directed by Greg Leaming, the director of the Conservatory, both shows preview in the Cook Theatre at the FSU Center for Performing Arts on Tuesday, November 3 at 7:30pm with a special 'Pay What You Can Performance,' and officially open on Wednesday, November 4 at 7:30pm and run through Sunday, November 22.
