Gattelli & Flaherty's Dance-Theatre Musical IN YOUR ARMS Opens Tonight at The Old Globe

The Old Globe opens its 2015-2016 Season with IN YOUR ARMS, a World Premiere dance-theatre musical featuring direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies, Godspell, Lincoln Center Theater's The King and I and South Pacific) and original music by Tony Award winner Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Once on This Island; two-time Oscar nominee for Anastasia). The production opens tonight, September 24, and runs through October 25, 2015.

The Old Globe opens its 2015-2016 Season with IN YOUR ARMS, a World Premiere dance-theatre musical featuring direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies, Godspell, Lincoln Center Theater's The King and I and South Pacific) and original music by Tony Award winner Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Once on This Island; two-time Oscar nominee for Anastasia). The production begins tonight, September 16, with an opening slated for September 24, and runs through October 25, 2015.

The Theater Project to Host an Evening of DURANG

What if the STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE got a flat tire, or whatever the trolley equivalent would be? What if GLASS MENAGERIE's sensitive, fragile Laura and her collection of tiny glass animals became hypochondriac Lawrence and his collection of glass swizzle sticks? That's pretty much what happens in FOR WHOM THE SOUTHERN BELLE TOLLS and other theater satires by Christopher Durang, presented as part of THREE PLAYS IN THREE WEEKS by The Theater Project in Maplewood, NJ.

Squeaky Bicycle to Stage TEN WAYS ON A GUN at Theater for the New City, 10/9-25

Theater for the New City (Crystal Field, Executive Director) will present Squeaky Bicycle Productions' World Premiere of Dylan Lamb's dark comedy Ten Ways on a Gun, directed by Kathryn McConnell (Pop Dies in Vegas) October 9-25 at the Community Space Theater at Theater for the New City (155 1st Avenue between 9th and 10th Streets). Performances will be October 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 18, 22, 23 & 24 at 8pm; October 12 at 7pm; October 11 & 25 at 3pm.Tickets ($15 in advance; $18 at the door) are available online at www.squeakybicycleproductions.com or by calling SmartTix at 212-868-4444. The show runs approximately 2 hours, including intermission. 

Bay Street Theater to Welcome Tony Winner Laura Benanti, 10/10

Theater Project to Present Susan Jeremy in TEACHER IN THE HOUSE

After performing across the United States, Canada and Europe, actor/playwright and teacher SUSAN JEREMY returns to New Jersey with her newest play TEACHER IN THE HOUSE, based on Jeremy's experiences with home-bound students. The one-woman show, written with director Mary Fulham, is part of THREE PLAYS IN THREE WEEKS presented by The Theater Project in Maplewood, NJ.
