Playwrights Horizons Announces 2011-12 Season!

Playwrights Horizons, under the leadership of Artistic Director Tim Sanford and Managing Director Leslie Marcus, is proud to announce the first five productions of its 2011/2012 Season. The World Premiere and four New York premieres will be presented at the theater company's home at 416 West 42nd Street. The five plays will be (in Season order):

Westport Country Playhouse Announces 2011 Restaurant Partners 11/5

Westport Country Playhouse announces its restaurant partners for the 2011 season, playing April 26 through November 5. Playhouse subscribers will receive discounts, many up to 20%, at partner restaurants upon presenting a ticket or stub on the day of their ticketed performance.

Theatre East presents 'The Soldier Dreams' by Daniel Macivor, Off Broadway at The Lion Theatre (Theatre Row), 410 West 42nd Street, NYC. Judson Jones directs the new play. Previews begin this Friday, March 25 and the opening is next Tuesday, March 29 at 8pm.

Westport Country Playhouse Hosts Open House, 3/19

Westport Country Playhouse will host its second annual open house, "Playhouse Community Day," on Saturday, March 19, 1 to 5 p.m., offering a wide variety of family activities, backstage tours, displays and historic artifacts, insight on the upcoming 2011 season and ticket discounts throughout the afternoon. Admission is free and open to the public. Complimentary snacks and beverages will be available.

Donna McKechnie to Return to Laurie Beechman 4/4

The Laurie Beechman Theatre has announced that Tony Award-winner DONNA McKECHNIE, one of Broadway's most beloved and esteemed performers, will return to The Laurie Beechman Theatre with her critically-acclaimed solo show, My Musical Comedy Life, which will play the midtown venue on Monday, April 4th at 8pm. Currently co-starring off-Broadway in Love, Loss & What I Wore, Ms. McKechnie returns to The Beechman for one night only.

Open Fist Theatre's PROOF Extends Through 3/24
