Michele Ragusa Leads Kansas City's Music Man Concert
Michele Ragusa, last seen on Broadway succeeding Megan Mullally in "Young Frankenstein," will be starring in back to back concerts of "The Music Man" and "Funny Girl" the first week in April.
First she will sing the role of Marian (the Librarian) in The Kansas City (MO) Symphony's THE MUSIC MAN on Friday, April 1st before heading to her home town of Buffalo, NY to sing Fanny Brice in the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra's FUNNY GIRL on Saturday, April 9th She will also be returning to the Long Beach Symphony, May 2011, to star in "Judy Garland - A Tribute"
Ragusa most recently created the role of Lola in the premier of "Radio Girl" at the Goodspeed Opera House with music by Henry Kreiger ("Dreamgirls"). Prior to that she won the Barrymore Award and received both Lucille Lortel and Drama League nominations for her performance as Corinna in Christopher Durang's "Adrift In Macao" at Primary Stages. Other Broadway credits include "Urinetown", "Ragtime", "Titanic", "A Class Act" and "Cyrano".
