CHAPLIN is a new musical depicting the life of film icon Charlie Chaplin, with music and lyrics by Christopher Curtis and book by three-time Tony Award-winner Thomas Meehan and Christopher Curtis, opened on Broadway on Monday, September 10, 2012. The Friday, November 9th performance of Broadway's Chaplin at the Barrymore Theatre, 243 West 47th Street, benefited the NYC Firefighters' charity, Lil' Bravest Inc., which raises money for children with diseases. This weekend, ABC-7 will air a half-hour special on the best of the new Broadway season, including AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE, ANNIE, CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF, CHAPLIN, DEAD ACCOUNTS, THE HEIRESS and THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD. The special will air Saturday, November 10 from 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM.

In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, the producers of Broadway's CHAPLIN have announced a special half-price ticket offer for select orchestra and front-mezzanine seats for performances this Saturday at 2:00PM and 8:00PM and Sunday at 2:00PM. This offer is available to anyone who purchases tickets for these performances at the Barrymore Theatre box office only. The previously announced "buy one get one free" offer for tickets at all price levels for performances tonight and tomorrow night (Friday) still stands.

Cast members from CHAPLIN recently performed a selection of songs from the show at Terminal 8 at John F. Kennedy International Airport as part of American Airlines' JFK concert series on October 12. It's one of the most anticipated events of the year in New York City - The Rink at Rockefeller Center opens for the 2012-2013 winter season on Tuesday, October 16. Set against the Art Deco backdrop of Rockefeller Center, the First Skate of the Year will feature Broadway's CHAPLIN star Rob McClure performing antics with Chef Yuhi Fujinaga of The Sea Grill and Chef Antonio Prontelli of Rock Center Cafe at 10:00am.
