Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, just celebrated its 2020 TCG Gala: Our Stories, last night, February 3, 2020, at The Edison Ballroom. The Gala honored North Carolina Black Repertory Company's National Black Theatre Festival, based in Winston-Salem; playwright David Henry Hwang; and TCG's arts advocacy at the federal level. The evening included performances from A Strange Loop and Soft Power, and feature Billy Bustamante, James Jackson, Jr., and Alyse Alan Louis.
Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival Announces Complete Summer 2020 Season

The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival has announced the complete lineup for the 2020 Summer Season, including Shakespeare's crookback villain Richard III and the lovestruck romantic comedy Love's Labor's Lost, alongside the world premiere of The Venetian Twins by Carlo Goldoni in a new adaptation by Christopher Bayes and Steven Epp. The 2020 season will also feature free performances of HVSF's family-friendly, touring production of Much Ado About Nothing. Performance schedule and casting will be announced at a later date.

The first ever World Premiere commissioned for Wilma's HotHouse, this searing new play directed by French physical theater master Dominique Serrand runs April 23 - May 12 at The Wilma Theater.
