The Colony Theatre is thrilled to present the second production of its 37th season of shows - its first ever with six productions instead of five! Hal Linden & Christina Pickles will star in the classic, ON GOLDEN POND, written by Ernest Thompson and directed by Cameron Watson (Trying, Grace and Glorie).
This spring, the acclaimed literary series Selected Shorts: A Celebration of the Short Story returns to the Getty Center from March 26-27, 2011 with an unforgettable lineup of stories. This January, TV Land is delivering a star-powered full hour of original comedy with the premiere of 'Retired at 35' on January 19th, 2011 at 10:30 PM ET/PT following the return of cable's #1 sitcom 'Hot in Cleveland.' 'Retired at 35' is TV Land's second original sitcom and stars veteran actors George Segal and Jessica Walter and newcomers Johnathan McClain, Josh McDermitt and Ryan Michelle Bathe. TV Land's first original sitcom, 'Hot in Cleveland,' premiered last year and became basic cable's #1 sitcom of all time among the network's target audience of A24-54 and total viewers. In its 10-episode run it even out-delivered shows like 'Mad Men,' 'Real Housewives of New Jersey,' 'Top Chef' and 'Nip/Tuck.'

On Friday, July 16 at 8 pm, James Cromwell, Amy Madigan, Michael O'Neill, Jordan Belfi and Christina Pickles headline a benefit performance of CARRY IT ON! Great American moments in word and song. On Friday, July 23 at 8 pm the Geer family, including Ellen Geer, Peter Alsop, Thad Geer, Willow Geer, Melora Marshall, and Ian Flanders, presents Theatricum's annual The Woody Guthrie Story. On Saturday, September 4 at 3 pm, singer/songwriter Inara George and Friends present A Tribute to Dolly Parton. Finally, in August and September the Theatricum Summer Repertory Company presents eight additional performances of CARRY IT ON! as part of the summer repertory season. Proceeds raised from the benefit performances will help support Theatricum's repertory company and arts education programs.

Actors Jill Eikenberry and Michael Tucker, who were to appear with host Isaiah Sheffer in Public Radio International?s popular series 'Selected Shorts,' on May 4 at the JCCSF, have had to cancel the engagement due to conflicting obligations. The unique night of literature in performance in Kanbar Hall will now feature René Auberjonois and Christina Pickles, who join Sheffer in reading short fiction focused on that SF obsession, food!
