The holiday production of ELF The Musical plays the Theater at Madison Square Garden as part of the 2015 national tour for a limited three week engagement from tonight, December 9, through December 27, 2015.

Today's the day! And a huge one it is for the company of NBC's THE WIZ LIVE! The Long Island soundstage that the cast and crew have been calling home for the past month will be bustling today as finishing touches are placed on the star-studded production. Theatre fans know that this won't be the first time that NBC has pulled off such a massive undertaking. 9.21 million people tuned in for last year's PETER PAN LIVE!, while THE SOUND OF MUSIC, presented in 2013, yielded a whopping 18.62 million live viewers- an unprecedented ratings boom for the network. Few can understand the pressure that comes with this kind of attention, but the casts of THE SOUND OF MUSIC LIVE! and PETER PAN LIVE! have been through all of it before. Today and tomorrow, November 18th and 19th at 7pm in New York City, Tony Award-nominated singer & actress Melissa Errico return sto Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette St.) in 'Sing The Silence,' an entirely new, autobiographical cabaret show co-written with Adam Gopnik (The New Yorker) about how one singer's descent into 100 days of silence -- total silence -- compelled her towards an inventory of a lifetime's experience, on and off the stage.

Midtown Direct Rep (MDR) continues its 2015-16 Theater in the Loft series at the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) with a staged reading of WHAT GOD HATH WROUGHT ~ A TRANSATLANTIC FARCE, written by John Walch, with songs by Rachel Peters.

There is also a sprinkling of the classic American songbook by Cole Porter, Rodgers & Hart, Sondheim & Mary Rodgers. 

BSL Enterprises, LLC and MSG Entertainment announced today casting for the upcoming holiday production of ELF The Musical, which will play the Theater at Madison Square Garden as part of the 2015 national tour for a limited three week engagement from December 9 through December 27, 2015. BroadwayWorld has just learned that film, television, and theatre actor Geoffrey Arend (MADAM SECRETARY on CBS) will be joining previously announced Stephanie J. Block and Sebastian Arcelus in Midtown Direct Rep's staged reading of THE IMPOSSIBILITY OF NOW, a new play written by Y York and directed by Will Pomerantz.  Broadway actress Marni Raab (The Phantom of the Opera) will read the stage directions.

The musical will have its world premiere tonight, September 10, and continue through September 27, 2015 at the Grove Theatre in Burbank, CA. The official Press and Gala opening will be September 12th at 8pm.

Acclaimed songwriter Scott Alan returns to London for a two-week residency at The Hippodrome Casino. Featuring a different guest each night, the nine concerts will celebrate Alan's work in nights filled with heartfelt songs, the stories behind them and many surprises. Tickets are now on sale here.

The musical will have its world premiere September 10 and continue through September 27, 2015 at the Grove Theatre in Burbank, CA. The Disney Channel's Corey Fogelmanis ("Farkle" on Girl Meets World), who appears as a Special Guest on the show's upcoming Kritzerland Records' CD Cast recording, will be on hand opening weekend for a private Meet & Greet with fans who have donated to the production. The show is created and directed by prolific Bruce Kimmel, surely no stranger to LA theatre.
