Come celebrate Dinah Shore's centennial at Feinstein's/54 Below at 7 PM on Saturday, Jan. 9th. Born in 1916, Dinah Shore became one of the greatest recording stars of the 1940s and 1950 with more than 80 chart-topping hits! Her stardom led to four major, long-running network TV series (TV Guide rated her as the 16th most important person in the history of television). She was a pioneer in women's golf (the LPGA Tournament still named after her famously draws 25,000 lesbians every year!), and though she was more than twenty years his senior, she was famously the girl friend of Burt Reynolds when he was the hottest star in Hollywood. No one was more associated with one product than Dinah Shore; her tagline, "See the USA in a Chevrolet" was universally known by everyone!

In our show, 54 Sings Dinah Shore, you will hear some of the greatest female singers in New York bring this iconic entertainers most famous songs into brilliant focus. Christiane Noll, the Broadway star of such shows as Jekyll & Hyde, Ragtime, and Chaplin will make you swoon with "Skylark," "So In Love," and more. Birdland's resident star, Carole J. Bufford, will belt out "Blues in the Night," and wail on "You Keep Coming Back Like a Song," among others. The critically acclaimed Stacy Sullivan will endear with "You'd Be So Nice to Come Home To" and Dinah's Number One Hit "Buttons & Bows," While nightclub star Maxine Linehan will make you fall in love all over again with "I Love You For Sentimental Reasons," and fill your heart with "The Anniversary Song."

I'm producing/writing/hosting the show. If you don't know me, I'm Scott Siegel, creator/writer/host of The Town Hall's signature series, Broadway by the Year, which begins its 16th season on Feb. 22. I'm also the creator of more than 200 major concerts in New York and around the country, as well as creating shows like this for Feinstein's/54 Below, Birdland, The Metropolitan Room, and other clubs around town as well as around the country.
