GrooveLily, the trio behind the off-Broadway hit STRIKING 12, will revive their performance for a December 31st New Years Eve performance at the Merkin Concert Hall. The performance will mark GrooveLily's first and only appearance in Manhattan in 2009. STRIKING 12 is written by Brendan Milburn (book, music and lyrics), Tony Award winner Rachel Sheinkin (book and lyrics) and Valerie Vigoda (book, music and lyrics).

I'm not going to lie. The show is about fifteen minutes too long, coming in at seventy five minutes. That's a lot to ask most eight year olds to sit through. Come to think of it, that's a lot for some thirty one year olds to sit through.
THE MOST INCREDIBLE THING, a ballet with music by the Pet Shop Boys, will premiere at London's Sadler's Wells on March 22, 2011, whatsonstage.com reports. The ballet, based on Hans Christian Anderson's story, tells of a quest to find 'the most incredible thing' in order to marry a princess, the report says. Javier de Frutos will direct and choreograph, and Ivan Putov will star. The production will run until March 26, and there will be a week of previews before the opening, the report says.
