On Saturday, August 27, 2011, the internationally acclaimed revival of John Kander, Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse's Tony Award-winning musical CHICAGO celebrated another major milestone when it became the longest-running American musical in Broadway history, surpassing A Chorus Line with a total of 6,138 performances.

The producers of Broadway's LOMBARDI announced today that the show will play its final performance on Sunday May 22. Producers Fran Kirmser and Tony Ponturo said, 'LOMBARDI was a story that we wanted to tell and an idea that we believed in. We wanted to attract both an audience which had never set foot in a Broadway theatre, and to satisfy the traditional theatre goer. Vince Lombardi's remarkable life offered us the opportunity to assemble a cast made in heaven, and a creative dream team.'

Following LOMBARDI's fund raising drive during Colon Cancer Awareness month, producers of the long running Broadway play will donate $10,000 to The American Cancer Society.

March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month. This year, the Broadway show LOMBARDI, which celebrates the life of legendary football coach Vince Lombardi, will donate $2 to colon cancer research for every ticket sold for a March performance for the period from March 7-31 2011.

Judith Light has received rave reviews for her performance as Marie Lombardi opposite Dan Lauria as the legendary football coach Vince Lombardi in the new Broadway play LOMBARDI. Former New York Giants linebacker Carl Banks will be signing autographs in the lower lobby of the Circle in the Square Theatre on Tuesday, February 1 from 6:30-7:00pm. The 1986 Vince Lombardi trophy that Banks and the rest of the 'Big Blue Wrecking Crew' helped to bring home to New York for their victory in Super Bowl XXI will also be on display from February 1 through Super Bowl Sunday on February 6, 2011. The lower lobby of the Circle in the Square Theatre is accessible to ticket-holders only.
