On Monday, January 13th, 2014 producers Kimberly Loren Eaton and Alan Swanke presented a reading of Wild and Willful Women to a full house at Baruch Performing Arts Center's Engelman Recital Hall, as the kickoff event the 13th Annual TRU Voices New Musicals Reading Series. This new musical is a tale of love, lust and witchcraft with book and lyrics by Bill Rogers and music by Daniel Doss. It was directed by Kimberly Loren Eaton, and music directed by Daniel Doss (national tours, The Addams Family and The Color Purple). Scroll down for photos!

Last night, Wednesday, October 16, the stars came out to see Tony Award winner Joanna Gleason in her acclaimed run at 54 Below. Among her friends and colleagues in the audience were Tony Award winner Donna Murphy, Gleason's Dirty Rotten Scoundrels co-star Sherie Rene Scott, Gleason's Into the Woods co-star Chip Zien, Buyer and Cellar playwright Jonathan Tollins, husband and Nick & Nora co-star Chris Sarandon, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife star Michelle Lee, and Gleason's Into the Woods composer Stephen Sondheim.

EPIX and FEARnet to Present “Maidens of Mayhem” Horror Week, Beginning Today

Let's hear it for the ladies of horror: those evil, tormented women, who have been inhabited by the devil or perhaps chased by a crazed lunatic wielding a deadly chainsaw. Fear not, your nightmares have been answered as EPIX and FEARnet have partnered to present 'Maidens of Mayhem,' a week-long festival of horror films featuring possessed ladies and the men/women and other entities who love them - or want to kill them. The festival begins on FEARnet today, October 14th and moves to EPIX on Thursday, October 17th with a special presentation of the original Carrie (1976) starring Sissy Spacek on the eve of the latest film adaptation of the Stephen King novel, starring Chlo? Grace-Moretz and Julianne Moore. Following the film, EPIX will present a World Premiere sneak peek at the new movie (see full schedule below).

Over 400 guests attended Westport Country Playhouse's annual fundraising gala, 'Sophisticated Lady: A Gala Evening Honoring Phylicia Rashad,' on Monday evening, September 16. In addition to honoring the Tony Award-winning actress, arts advocate and philanthropist Howard J. Aibel of Weston was presented with the Westport Country Playhouse Leadership Award. Culture Project (Allan Buchman, Founder & Artistic Director), in association with Innocence Project, Marc & Steven Kaplan, and Cheryl Wiesenfeld, welcomes Broadway veteran Kathleen Chalfant (Angels in America) and musical, singer-songwriter, composer Roger Waters (Pink Floyd) to the rotating cast of the 10th anniversary production of the hit award-winning play, The Exonerated, written by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen, for the final week of performances through December 2nd at Culture Project (45 Bleecker Street at Lafayette Street) where performances began September 15th .

Culture Project, in association with Innocence Project, Marc & Steven Kaplan, and Cheryl Wiesenfeld, welcomes Anthony Arkin (I'm Not Rappaport), Keir Dullea (Butterflies Are Free; 2001: A Space Odyssey) and Carol Kane (Wicked, Hester Street) to the rotating cast of the 10th anniversary production of the hit, award-winning play, The Exonerated, written by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen, for one-week only November 6 - 11 at Culture Project (45 Bleecker Street at Lafayette Street) where performances began September 15 for a limited engagement through December 2nd. Marsha Mason will join the rotating cast November 13 -18.
