Rob Marshall ('Chicago,' 'Pirates of the Caribbean') helms the long overdue film adaptation of the 1987 Tony Award-winning musical INTO THE WOODS, featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim ('Sweeney Todd,' 'Assassins') and book--now a moderately revised screenplay--by James Lapine ('Passion,' Falsettos').

As readers of BroadwayWorld.com will know, Stephen Sondheim's new song written for Meryl Streep to sing in the movie, 'She'll Be Back,' was shot, but later cut after an early preview. The good news is that the song will appear on the film's DVD, and the even better news is that sheet music has been released today for purchase!

Deadline reports that Simon Pegg will co-write the script for STAR TREK 3 with Doug Jung (Dark Blue). Pegg will also reprise his role as engineering genius 'Scotty'.

With Hough as the angelic 'Sandy' - Rydell High's most talked-about newcomer - and Hudgens as iconic bad girl 'Rizzo,' this first-ever live television production of 'Grease' will re-imagine the hit crossover musical for an entirely new generation.
